Delhi: An Army brigadier alleged that he and his son were assaulted by a group of men in front of Delhi Police PCR personnel in the Vasant Vihar area. The incident occurred after he objected to people drinking in a parked vehicle near his residence. Despite calling PCR, he claimed police failed to intervene during the assault or assist afterward. Army brigadier Wife Nitasha says, "The whole incident was that two individuals were sitting in a white Mercedes car and drinking alcohol. After dinner, when my husband and son went out for a walk, they objected, saying that drinking in a residential colony is not allowed, after which the individuals spoke to them inappropriately...."

SHAMEFUL CONDUCT BY DELHI POLICE Last night (11 April), at around 10:00 PM, a serving Brigadier’s family encountered two individuals consuming alcohol inside their car (Regn No. DL3CCY 0789) near their residence in Vasant Enclave. Upon objecting to this act of illegal public drinking, the situation escalated. The individuals called for additional support, and soon 7–8 more men arrived in multiple vehicles. These men proceeded to assault the Brigadier’s son, causing significant injuries, and also manhandled the Brigadier himself. Despite a call to the Police Helpline (112) and a PCR vehicle (ZBR39A, Mobile No. 9311923339) being dispatched to the spot, no effective action was taken by the police personnel present. The assault occurred in full view of the PCR van, yet no intervention was made. Following the incident, the family approached Vasant Vihar Police Station to lodge an FIR. However, their complaint was not registered, and they were also denied immediate medical assistance. Eventually, the injured were taken to the Military Hospital for treatment. A written complaint has since been submitted, but the lack of timely police action—both at the scene and at the police station—raises serious concerns. This incident demands urgent attention and accountability. That's Ahmedabad for you. When the traffic signal was red, a chana chor garam (an Indian snack) vendor was passing by where one of the strings broke and all of it fell down on the road. This felt personal to people around this. People helped him out to put his stuff back, asked about the damage and contributed to give him ₹2000 instantly. All of this happened within ~ 130 seconds. Such stories must be appreciated. Well done Amdavad..!!

INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES Iran war has shaken entire world and made countries realize why green energy is the need of hour. In India, Government is already pushing hard for renewables and has set the target for 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based energy capacity (Solar, Wind, Nuclear, and Hydro). In which 270 GW will be met by solar energy. Do you know this will lead to huge demand for Almunium and copper which are two important commodities for solar energy systems. For 1GW solar energy capacity approximately 20k tonnes of aluminum are required , considering this Roughly 5.6 to 6 million tonnes of aluminum needed by 2030. It means nearly 800,000 to 1,000,000 tonnes of new aluminum demand requires specifically for solar every year. Currently total Almunium capacity 4.1 million tons while domestic consumption is 4.9 million tons. For copper, 1 GW of solar energy systems requires 5000 tons of copper, so approximately 1.5 million tons of copper required for 270 GW solar energy systems till 2030. After metro, people will stop travelling through auto or cab , even stop buying cars . Expanding metro networks have negative impact on auto sector but best for people. What’s your opinion
