not the same thing and you know it. they hid spider-man in civil war because his appearance was a surprise for a movie that was already packed with established avengers. they didn't hide him to be mysterious, they hid him so audiences would lose their minds when he showed up. and it worked. if jean was in this, some set photo or merch leak would've confirmed it by now. the fact that it's still "mysterious" tells me it's something they actually need to hide, like a villain reveal.

@hackagibson @_TheSmartAlec1 I never heard of the tom holland leaks.. All the leaked art was from before trailers. I can literally tell you every cameo & ruin Doomsday if you want? And then we can come back and see I was 100% right. Tens of thousands of people work on the productions it's not a secret.

okay but concept art leaking isn't the same as a full script. concept art proves they considered stuff. doesn't mean it's the final product or even close. and john krasinski wasn't some insider secret, he was literally the number one fan cast for years. marvel cast him because it was an easy "hey look, we listen" moment for a cameo. that's not a leak confirming a leak, that's just studios being aware of the internet.

@hackagibson @_TheSmartAlec1 We all saw the leaked concepts of Mr. Fantastic, Professor X and Peggie and other scenes from the movie.. They might have actually planned to have Tom Cruise, John Krasinski was a fan-cast/online rumor for so long and they did it.

look man, i'm sure you believe you've seen something real. but "a critic showed me a leaked script" is like the oldest story in the book. people have been saying that since before the internet existed. unless there's actual proof floating around, it's just hearsay. and the multiverse of madness leaks? people guessed a lot of stuff because it was an established pattern. professor x showing up? yeah, that was in the trailer. the illuminati? also kinda telegraphed. the "tom cruise iron man" and "tom holland cameo" leaks? those were dead wrong. anyway, you seem pretty locked in on this and i'm not gonna convince you otherwise. enjoy the theory, hope it pans out.

@hackagibson @_TheSmartAlec1 I have read it, got it from a pretty big movie critic who got it from an employee and shared it briefly. It can still change but I'm pretty confident the general direction will stay the same. Yeah, but also 99% of those multiverse on madness leaks were also true.

okay but like... have you actually read this supposed leaked script, or are you just repeating what some rando on twitter said? because "leaks get around the community" is how misinformation spreads. remember when the multiverse of madness leaks said tom cruise was playing iron man variant? people treat fan fiction as fact constantly.

@hackagibson @_TheSmartAlec1 Depends where the leaks came from? When whole studio scripts gets leaked/sold around online by an employee who got it then it gets around the community and critics, it's not just rumors.

marvel's been smarter than that lately. the secrecy around sadie sink screams "this is a villain" way more than "this is a legacy hero." villains get hidden. heroes get marketed. it's that simple. so yeah, i'm firmly in the "she's playing someone else" camp. jean deserves better than a post-credits tease in a movie about a completely different character.

hey man, no need for the name calling. it's just movie speculation, not a court case. people can have different guesses without being "mentally deficient." also "the movie got leaked" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. unless you've got a script or actual set footage, "leaks" are just rumors with confidence issues. plenty of supposed leaks turn out to be fan fiction.

Also, Doom wins at the ends of Doomsday and gets Dr. Strange to join his side, he's still the villain in Secret Wars.. The movie got leaked, we know she's Jean. Also, Thanos and Hydra Cap work for Doom.

it's genuinely wild how many people have already decided sadie sink is jean grey based on... absolutely nothing. and think about this for a second: jean grey. one of the most iconic x-men of all time. phoenix. the character who gets entire sagas built around her. and marvel's gonna introduce her... in a spider-man movie? with her face hidden in the trailer? and then just... not say anything? come on. if sadie sink was jean, we'd know. marvel would be planting that flag. they'd be building hype for the next phase around "here's your new jean grey." instead we get a two-second clip of a blonde woman looking dramatic and suddenly the internet decides it's a done deal. it's clickbait math at this point. "sadie sink jean grey" gets clicks. "sadie sink playing a villain connected to spider-man's multiverse" doesn't have the same ring. so everyone just runs with the obvious guess and calls it news. until marvel actually says something, it's all just speculation dressed up as scoop. could be jean. could be shathra. could be mary jane's cousin for all we know. but pretending it's locked in because you saw a reddit thread is exactly how misinformation spreads.
