This is a welcome update to S3 and will simplify applications that have special code to handle eventual consistency. I can see a lot of code in our services that can be deleted. Amazon S3 Update - Strong Read-After-Write Consistency aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/amaz… via @awscloud

@DamianEdwards Some kind of Universal DLL Store where Microsoft deploys DLLs that will always win in binding resolution and will drive developers crazy.

@houlihan_rick thanks for sharing ... is there any blog or article to get details about best practices and anti patterns?

I often have this discussion with people trying to scale and wondering why they can't. Devs love document stores because they can index deeply nested JSON. This means reading and writing big blobs for everything no matter what you need. That gets expensive fast at scale.

Complex documents are an anti-pattern in #NoSQL because apps only work with bits and pieces of the data contained in them. Reading and writing data you don't need is wasted IOPS. Use simple documents, link them together with indexes to save $$. Go #CloudNative. Use @dynamodb.

Don't abstract too early. Wait until you've copied and pasted a couple times. You need example use-cases to create good abstractions.

I feel like the only reason I use NodeJS is for SocketIO. If SignalR had better native clients, I'd probably hop on that ASPNET Core train. OpenFrameworks SignalR addon when?

@Phillylosophy I suggest, don't take that opportunity, it is even worse to work with people like that.

In an interview yesterday, the interviewer took the time to stop me and remind me what a beginner I am at coding because I made one syntax error and they wouldn't allow me to test my code in the console. Is this normal? Why is feeling small part of job seeking?

@JohanLindfors If it is still an issue, from command line run "where python" it will tell you the location of override, then go-to environment variables and change the path variables to remove that path.

Somehow the command "python" is mapped to a Windows Store app on ONE of my machines, meaning that I can't run scripts correctly now, and can't figure out how to fix it. Tried creating an alias in PowerShell, but it doesn't work when "python" is called from other scripts. #help
