@katherinemcelr2 @EimhearMurphy @sinnfeinireland Patition is to blame. West belfast could have been hosting euro 28 games but for dup sectarianism. Wise up. Infrastructure issues are down to poor westminister funding and u know it is

What exactly would @sinnfeinireland do differently, Órfhlaith? In West Belfast, their political stronghold for decades, the outcomes speak for themselves. The constituency continues to rank among the most deprived in Northern Ireland, with high levels of economic inactivity, child poverty, and long-term health inequalities. Around 40% of children in parts of Belfast are estimated to be living in poverty, while unemployment and social housing waiting lists remain persistently above the regional average. After years of political dominance, these figures raise serious questions about whether Sinn Féin is focused on delivering meaningful improvements for working-class communities- or prioritising ideological politics over practical results.

Britain will have its 6th Prime Minister in 7 years. The longer we’re shackled to Westminster chaos, the more we suffer. It is time to plan & prepare for a united Ireland, to set a date for a unity referendum & end the regressive role of all British governments in our affairs.

@JamesMcCarthy97 I'm sure Lyons could muster up some of the talent on show at the 12th celebrations, all those skilled musicians (repertoire might be somewhat limited) but you have baton twirling, lambeg drums, intricate bonfire building, not forgetting wonderful sectarian singing, what talents!

@MarcusMacBride I know Marcus. I was watching an anti immigration rally at the GPO and your lot invited mark Sinclair uvf up on the stage to speak. Do you remember when the UVF visited Dublin and Monaghan in 1974. You absolute cunt.

As an Irish man, I have more in common with anti immigration protesters in England than I do with Sinn Fein supporters in Ireland. This may be unpopular with some people, but I really don't care.

Cross community minority protections were only ever designed for when nationalists were in minority. As soon as they and their nationalist allies in Alliance could form a majority, all of a sudden the sacred safeguards were expendable. It was never about equality; always supremacy.

The host of @BBCNolan asking what BBC NI should be? Well for a start it could be fair and balanced, not platforming and promoting minority racist and sectarian views, and represent the vast majority who are not involved with promoting paramilitaries. In other words dump @BBCNolan

Belfast ranks 32nd per capita for asylum seekers in the UK. Northern Ireland hosts 2,379 in total. That’s 0.1% of its population. NI is 97% white. Asylum seekers are not “illegal migrants”; they’re going through a legal government process. factcheckni.org/articles/immig…
Allison Pearson@AllisonPearson

Belfast houses more asylum seekers per capita than almost any other place in the UK. One in 200 people in Belfast is an illegal migrant. Who could possibly have foreseen civil unrest? It’s the immigration, stupid.
