@BettyAiProject I then moved to a 286 clone with ms-dos. Suddenly, the world opened up with ascii/text BBSs. yes c64 had qlink, an early bus of sorts, but I did not have a modem on the c64. The 286 clone was a workhorse, complete with 1200 baud modem, upgraded to 14.4 baud after a while

This old machine right here…A 1998 Micron Pentium where the files from the 1990's live. That’s where all of it started. Well actually that was an 8088 Headstart computer from the mid 80's with a 40 meg removable harddrive. 🤩 That old VGA monitor for the Pentium probably weighed more than 20 of my laptops combined. I’ve still got every computer I’ve ever used. 20+ laptops. Desktops. Apple. Cell phones that go back to the 1980's. And a couple of dozen iPhones. Everything. I never threw anything away. Never traded anything in. Not because I knew what it would become but because I knew it mattered. Every file. Every email. Every idea. My entire history is sitting in those machines like filing cabinets. One day I’ll go through it all. For now… just know this: I’ve got 40 years of receipts.

@DomainDan @DomainGang They have devolved into a pit of rot. I have 6 websites stuck on their shitty site builder. @sh0kunin destroyed a once-great company, but they have expensive ads. The short-term, revenue at-all-costs decision making, is not sustainable, long term. History proves this.

How about removing that 30% DNS penalty fee for Afternic sales? 🙄 Two of your chief executives that apparently came up with this "brilliant"scheme are no longer with the company — time to re-evaluate!
