GEJ never insulted Soyinka once. Yet Soyinka called his wife a Hippopotamus and dragged him for years. Tinubu names a National Theatre after Soyinka and suddenly the Nobel laureate loses his voice. Integrity for sale

“There two standards I see in Nigeria: one standard for the north & another standard for the south. Whenever a few Igbo boys have gotten angry & reacted, they sent Air Force, Navy & Military to go & stop them. They take armored tanks to the east. But we see Fulani boys stand & speak on the internet, they say anything, do anything, & nothing moves. Instructions are given for nobody to move.” ~ Pastor Sarah Omakwu

@Adam_YA_ @HenryUnuas @drkenon2 We have seen… and that is what you are being told Are we lying? Is the woman lying? There are far more checkpoints per km in South East than anywhere in the North. Fact. Militia up North are treated with love… as brothers. Those in South East aren’t(and they shouldn’t be)

@Adam_YA_ @HenryUnuas @drkenon2 Why don’t you, Adam? Why don’t you tell us the situation with checkpoint in North compared to South East? Why don’t you tell us the other side of the coin? Why our military don’t occupy on land, and air, these trouble spots? Why they refuse foreign help?

We've tried Hausa presidents: Yar'Adua and Buhari. We've tried Yoruba presidents: Obasanjo and Tinubu. Let's try an Igbo president in 2027.

So… Islamists attack #UnguwarRukuba and kill about 30 Christians Curfew is imposed to forestall any reprisal (from the Christians) Curfew is relaxed, then: - a Muslim mob lynch a Christian in front of a university campus - a #COCINchurch is attacked Who can help me explain the rationale behind this 🤔 @TRobinsonNewEra @ChristianEmerg1 @Sir_Dongizle @NewsCentralTV @ChidiOdinkalu @SamAmadi @StateDept @USinNigeria @georgegalloway @SonjaDahlmans @Sean_ADFIntl @gghamari @CassandraMTB

@Omojuwa Hmmm… I’m starting to think you actually are stupid. PO did not condemn NADECO, you idiot. He merely wondered how someone with such a noble claim can suddenly be so undemocratic… and yes, it’s a claim. A man that can claim another’s 12 year old photo?

What does it say about this person that instead of just having a go at the president, he packs him up with NADECO? Even if he is bereft of the knowledge of that history, shouldn’t he at least know that one of the people he wants to change by his mere presence, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, also has NADECO history? Is he even aware that there are people who don’t agree with the president today who were part of NADECO? Who advises these folks? By the mere mention of NADECO, you alienate some potential allies. You won’t ever be president but at least make it more interesting please. Stop further killing your chances and making it so easy to predict. I don’t like easy predictions.

Yesterday defenders of democracy, today's destroyers, What a shame. What an irony of history, that the acclaimed defenders of democracy and human rights who claimed to have fought for democracy during the era of General Sani Abacha now find themselves worse than the man they opposed. Today, General Sani Abacha, once presumed face of oppression, will be remembered as seemingly more democratic and more respectful of human rights than the so-called champions of activism from the NADECO days. Power indeed reveals character. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

@RegularGuy800 @ZariyiYusufu You would have stopped? Then you know nothing about about situation analysis What you should do is cause a scene. Honk madly and steadily, drive crazily to scare, revv your vehicle, flash lights, shout a lot But you mustn’t stop the car, or get out of the car. Big mistake.

@Frank24net @PeterObi So what Abacha a ‘presumed face of oppression’? Or not? Can you something, and also presumed to be that same thing at the same time?

“I just read your statement describing Abacha as the ‘presumed face of oppression,’ and it is both shocking and deeply troubling. Such a remark suggests either a deliberate distortion of history or a disturbing level of sympathy for a regime widely associated with repression. It raises serious questions about your judgment and the values you represent. You won’t rule this country even God knows.

@PeterObi @Steady_008 Sani Abacha was far from kind to the Yorubas, who bore the brunt of his injustice. Conversely, he maintained a better relationship with the Igbos, who, by historical accounts, enjoyed certain advantages under his rule. I understand your sentiment.

You can’t claim to be a serious student of politics and completely dismiss Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His command of Nigerian politics stands in a class of its own; built on strategy, timing, alliances, and an unrelenting understanding of power. What many reduce to chance is often the result of calculated moves layered over years. Even on the global stage, there’s a growing recognition that a new power broker is at work. Figures like Donald Trump have acknowledged the composure and tactical restraint shown in moments of provocation. If you step outside emotion and look at politics as strategy and structure, Asiwaju becomes less of a figure to argue about and more of a case study to understand.

@R_e_d_XX @ZariyiYusufu They will face God’s wrath, don’t worry But will they face Nigeria’s wrath? If the only reason they attacked and killed is someone is Christian, should there not be a re-orientation? Are Muslims condemning or tacitly supporting this?

Any political party or candidate that absorbs the Obidient constituency without structural containment protocols is assuming a liability, not acquiring an asset. The evidence across multiple electoral cycles and multiple organisational relationships is consistent: they enter as amplifiers and exit as arsonists. They destroy everything they touch. The group leaves behind fractured party structures (PDP, Labour Party), poisoned stakeholder relationships (several), and a residue of institutional bad faith that takes cycles to neutralise. The question facing serious political actors in Nigeria’s 2027 electoral calculus is not whether to engage this constituency. It is whether the short-term noise they generate is worth the long-term reputational and structural damage they guarantee. The evidence answers that question with clarity. Those who must learn this lesson again will learn it soon enough. We can just always wait.
