We in the Trump Administration take very seriously our obligation to safeguard US sovereignty and to ensure that the only laws governing Americans are the laws duly enacted by our elected representatives under our Constitution. This means, among other things, making sure that "international law" norms often made up out of whole cloth by foreigners outside our constitutional structure aren't accorded the force of law in US courts. In this regard, we're delighted that the US Supreme Court has now clarified (in Cisco Sys., Inc. v. Doe, link below) that the so-called Alien Tort Statute of 1789 doesn't authorize US federal courts to create new causes of action for alleged violations of international law. Some lower federal courts started claiming such authority in the 1980s and until now the US Supreme Court had left the matter somewhat ambiguous. In my current position, I've witnessed ominous efforts around the world to craft novel "international law" norms, and am relieved that our Administration persuaded the Supreme Court (see link below for brief) to close the door on giving any such norms the force of law in US courts. In our constitutional system, the power to create new causes of action belongs to Congress--not the courts and certainly not international organizations or other foreign entities.

Maria Shahbaz, a 13-year-old Pakistani Christian girl, was abducted from her family by 30-year-old Shehryar Ahmad in July 2025. She was forced to renounce her faith and marry her kidnapper. She has since been “exposed to grave abuse and exploitation," according to Alliance Defending Freedom International (ADF). In February 2026, Shahbaz's case was taken to Pakistan’s Federal Constitutional Court. Rather than returning Shabaz to her parents, the Court instead returned custody to her abductor, subjecting her to further abuse and jeopardizing her safety. On July 9, 2026, the European Parliament (EP) highlighted Shahbaz’s case in a newly adopted resolution. They called for Shahbaz’s return to her family and condemned the broader pattern of abductions, forced conversions to Islam, and child marriages throughout Pakistan.  Shahbaz's case is not an isolated one. More than 1,000 underage non-Muslim girls are forced into conversion and marriage every year in Pakistan.  According o UN figures in 2025, among women and girls affected by forced conversion through marriage, around 75% were Hindu and 25% were Christian. Don't miss this important event on 14th July, which comes on the heels of a key EU resolution - which passed with broad consensus - calling for more action by the EU and Member States to "systematically raise the issue of foreced conversions and marriages" of women and girls.

Amid all the tributes to the late Senator Lindsey Graham, I’d like to add my praise for him as a staunch ally of the pro-life cause. Last year, @ADFLegal represented South Carolina at the U.S. Supreme Court in Medina v. Planned Parenthood—a pivotal case about whether states can defund the abortion giant through their Medicaid programs. When it came time for members of Congress to submit an amicus brief in support of our case, Sen. Graham was a leading voice advocating for unborn life, women’s health, and his home state. We were pleased to win that case last June, freeing all states to defund Planned Parenthood and protect life. This is just one example of Sen. Graham’s reliable pro-life advocacy in the Senate. I am grateful for his legacy and am praying for his family.

Pastor Ezra Jin’s daughter, Grace Jin Drexel, tells CBS News her father is still recovering after spending 266 days in Chinese detention. Jin, the founder of China’s unregistered Zion Church, was released after President Trump raised his case with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Drexel says eight other church members remain detained: “We’re hoping that this joyful moment will soon be felt by more people.”

Lindsey Graham was a true leader. Lindsey did the hard, often unseen work of accomplishing what has lasting value. Lindsey Graham was not just a vote; he was a voice, a voice for the defenseless. He used his influence to advance the cause of life. When others grew quiet, Lindsey stepped forward and gave his colleagues a way to speak - clearly, courageously, and compassionately about the dignity of every human life. He was also a consistent advocate for persecuted Christians around the world, those who suffer simply because they refuse to deny their faith. He saw the global landscape the way a chess master sees the board, thinking several moves ahead. He remained steady, because he knew what is at stake—not just for us, but for our children and grandchildren. That is moral courage. And that same conviction was seen in his steadfast support for the State of Israel. He used his voice, and his influence, not for himself, but to protect and advance faith, family, and freedom. Lindsey Graham delivered on all three. I offer my deepest condolences – and my deepest gratitude – to the Graham family. America could use more leaders like Lindsey Graham who embodied moral courage: doing what is right for others, even when it may cost you personally.

We Lost Him 💔😭 My heart is shattered beyond words Our little brother, 13-year-old David Raymond, has gone home to be with the Lord after fighting for his life for 18 painful days David was not a soldier He was not a criminal He was only a child whose only "offense" was being born into a Christian family in Plateau State On that dark night in Kawel village, Bokkos LGA, terrorists stormed his home while the family slept His father, Raymond Maichibi, stood between death and his son, hoping to save him with his own body, but he was shot and killed His mother, Nanlop Raymond, hid inside the bedroom, praying for mercy, but the bullets found her too David tried to escape, but an AK-47 bullet ripped through his back and stomach, leaving his intestines exposed As doctors struggled day and night to save this innocent child, his parents were already lying in a mass grave alongside 20 other Christians murdered simply because of their faith The family could not bring themselves to tell David that he was now an orphan They hoped he would recover first But today, that painful secret no longer matters David has gone to join his father and mother in eternity Before he died, his trembling voice still echoed from his hospital bed "They came in the night... My father tried to protect me and they shot him... My mother was hiding when they shot her too... I ran and they shot me in the back..." How many more children must die before the world listens How many more Christian families must be erased before our tears are seen The silence of the world has become another weapon against us "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." — Matthew 5:10 David's blood cries out from the ground His story must not die with him I plead with the Church around the world, do not stop praying for the persecuted Church in Nigeria Remember us before the throne of God Stand with us while there is still someone left to save May the Lord comfort every grieving heart and may little David Raymond rest in the everlasting arms of Jesus until we meet again Rest in peace, precious child Your suffering is over Your crown awaits you 💔😭🙏

Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo@ezekieldachomo0

My beloved brethren, this is Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo. My heart is heavy. My eyes are filled with tears. Since hearing the story of little David Raymond, I have struggled to find the words. How can a 13-year-old child carry such unbearable pain? How can a boy wake up one morning and discover that the world he knew has disappeared? David lies on a hospital bed today, fighting for his life after a bullet ripped through his back and stomach, leaving him in unbearable pain. While doctors fought through the night to save his life, the bodies of his father, Raymond Maichibi, and his mother, Nanlop Raymond, were lowered into a mass grave alongside many other innocent people from their community. The most heartbreaking part is that David has not yet been told that his parents are gone forever. His loved ones cannot find the strength to tell him that he is now an orphan. Imagine the moment when that young boy opens his eyes, asking, "Where is my father? Where is my mother?" knowing that no one has the courage to answer him. David recalled that armed men entered their home in the darkness of the night. His father stood between death and his son. Like every loving father, he tried to protect his child with his own life. He was shot. His mother hid in fear, praying that somehow she would survive, but she too was killed. David tried to escape, but a bullet struck him from behind. What kind of pain is this? What kind of world allows children to carry wounds that no child should ever know? Our Lord Jesus Christ said in 16:33, "In this world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." Today, I ask the Church across the world not to grow weary. We cannot become silent while our brothers and sisters continue to suffer. We cannot close our eyes while innocent children are left without fathers, without mothers, without homes, and without hope. The Word of God tells us in 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." David may have lost his earthly parents, but I pray that the God who calls Himself the Father of the fatherless will surround him with His unfailing love. May the Lord heal every wound in his body and every scar in his heart. Brethren, please remember David in your prayers. Pray for his surviving siblings. Pray for every grieving family. Pray for every widow. Pray for every orphan. Pray for every community living in fear. And as long as God gives me breath, I will continue to speak. They may say I speak too much, but how can I keep quiet when children are burying their parents? How can I remain silent when families are wiped away overnight? As the Lord declares in 31:8–9, "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves... defend the rights of the poor and needy." May God comfort every broken heart. May He strengthen the weak. May He heal David Raymond completely. May He bring justice, peace, and hope to every suffering family. In Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.
