@hegen84 those only have about 20% weights in SK Hynix so i doubt the fund would want to do that and run afoul of the mandate

These are my calculations - let me know if this is wrong - otherwise we are looking at 2.4B of selling on SK Hynix just from 7709HK alone. Without including in all the other leverage within the KR ecosystem

Seems to be like 7709 HK needs to sell 2M SK Hynix shares on monday KR open. Which is 40% of the daily volume. Happy for someone to tell me i calculated this wrongly. (please do)

@SpearfishingCap Why would they force a buy-in? This should be handled like any other dividend or spin-off. The short seller owes the value of the borrowed shares and the value of all rights resulting from them. They either deliver the rights by borrowing them or settle in cash

Expecting chop going into the 6/3 vote with a sharp V-shape recovery once the dust settles. Prime brokerages will issue mandatory buy-in notices to their short clients once a record date is set.

i will say the most concerning thing about trump being so open about his platform of cutting healthcare entitlements and juicing defense spending - especially in tandem with the recent defense department purge - is that this doesn't sound like a man concerned about elections
