TSA agents could've gotten their paychecks for the first time in a month starting TODAY. But Senate Republicans blocked our effort. Your wait times at the airport and TSA employees missing meals are a cost they are willing to pay. It isn’t right.

Not sure I’m aiming to impress you. What I am doing is saying if people are able to work, they need to live a lifestyle that enables them to save. End of story. It’s decades of decision making that leads someone to be poor at the end of the road. Not one thing or the other or some setback. Those are excuses.

@kungfuiq @middle_class_us Easy to do with no kids. And no disability from illness or an accident. I to grew up very poor, raised to daughters on my own with no help and not many options to just go to work whenever or wherever I wanted to. So again the high and moral attitude doesn't impress me.

I ran/rode bicycle 6.5 miles each way and showered for a 3 hour shift for 3.35/hour at a nursing home. 5 days a week. $50 a week. Then I worked to shovel out dung for horses for $5/hour 3 mornings a week. But what really motivated me was my time in the field as a Combat Engineer. I decided that I would spend 6 hours a night in my College library after that experience. Reserves and student loans payed for said College. And I studied and studied. And saved. Parents were divorced, brother developmentally disabled with explosive outbursts. Mother worked 3rd shift so the house was always empty. But I decided I would never be a grunt for the rest of my life. After college I'd work 2 full time entry level jobs. Barely could stand at the end of the night. But I got better at everything I did. Forget pompous. I fought for every morsel of what my life has become, and I'll fight any lazy person that says "It's too hard." Including you.

@kungfuiq @middle_class_us Sometimes lives can change overnight, unexpectedly and impossible to plan for. And many aren't worried about themselves but instead work to provide for your kids. Working hard isn't the issue. So stop sounding so high and mighty. It's very unbecoming.
