Claude’s recently shipped: → dispatch (text your agent from your phone, it works on your machine) → scheduled tasks (recurring autonomous workflows) → remote control (monitor live sessions from anywhere) → agent teams (parallel multi-agent coordination) → channels (control Claude Code via Telegram and Discord) → auto memory (persistent context across sessions) → context compaction (stays coherent over long runs) → plugin marketplace (extensible skill system) not long ago you needed a custom framework or OpenClaw just to get Claude running on a loop. now it’s native. the moat for open source agent frameworks has fully shifted. it’s no longer “can it run autonomously?”, it’s “who runs it with more swagger?” the infra always gets commoditized. what you build on top of it doesn’t.

A prospect was telling me how important his HVAC business is for him and his family. He told me yesterday he was not going with us because he found someone for less. Not because they were better, but because they were less money. I hope they get him into the top 3, otherwise the price is going to be much more than he is saving. Interesting how many home service businesses get undercut in price, then make their own decisions based on price>quality. Even more interesting some people say they want to invest into their business but not enough to move the needle, just enough to feel like they're doing something.

@petergyang It’s not going to work though. The whole POINT of something like openclaw is privacy. Of being in control. It defeats the whole purpose if you go right back to giving every word of personal info to OpenAI or Claude.

I think OpenAI’s strategy is pretty clear: 1. More people have ChatGPT installed than any other AI product 2. Make ChatGPT great for coding and knowledge work 3. Make it a personal assistant like OpenClaw that knows you and can do whatever you want They just need to do 2 and 3 faster before people switch to Claude or Gemini for the same use cases.

Can we all agree it's disgusting to walk into your home with outside shoes? That's the whole point of a foyer. The shoes go off in the foyer, your household shoes go on, clean house, peace of mind. If you don't have a foyer, the entryway is fine. The only reason to be against this is either laziness, because it's something new/different, or you feel anxiety asking guests to adhere to your rule structure. Do not fear. They must adhere. You are the master of your domain.

Perplexity Computer review is up. Summary: Comes “batteries included,” agent does research/search very well, solid at problem solving/building. Plugins, skills very easy to add (and it reaches for/creates them). Not as flexible as other systems. No way to dig in and edit it.
