Cape Town: 19.8% unemployment. eThekwini: 24.1%. Mangaung: 33.5%. The difference is governance. Where the DA runs a city, more people are working. Where the ANC runs a city, unemployment climbs above the national average. These are Stats SA's own numbers. Where the DA governs, more jobs are created for all.

I had identified over 600 building and properties during my term as mayor. I had committed to release a minimum of 100 a year on a long leases to private for redevelopment. Remember, 154 of them were already awarded to the private through Council approved policy called Inner City Rejuvenation Plan. At my last Council after the announcement of my resignation in November 2019, I presented a Report to Council to start the process of awarding 37 abandoned factories around Wynberg to the private sector to develop affordable accommodation for residents of Alexandra. When given a mandate by Joburg residents to go and complete the unfinished job, I don't have to start from scratch. The policy is already there and approved by Council.

You can do everything right and still lose. It's not unfair, it's reality.

@VehicleTracker8 It seems like an invasion of privacy BUT my ex had a company car, and in her contract it clearly stated the car is company property and that it will be monitored 24/7. She even twice got verbal warnings for swearing, once while even driving alone.

This is not true. Mugabe was not convicted of anything related to a Hydepark shooting or pointing a firearm, and I don't understand why this is being so widely reported as being the case. Mugabe pleaded guilty to pointing a fake gun [s120(6)(b) of the FCA] at Brian Nguvayashe on 11 Feb, a week before the 19 Feb shooting of Sipho Mahlangu. He was NOT convicted in connection with the 19 Feb shooting of the gardener at the Hydepark property. This, despite the IO testifying that Mugabe was present when Matonhodze shot Mahlangu, and the claim that Mugabe knew where the fiream was. Why has the NPA not been asked to explain how Mugabe escaped accountability on the 19 Feb attempted murder? Why did the State accept a plea that offered no facts about the circumstances that led to the shooting? What is the State's view on an accused person's legal team approaching complainants without the IO's knowledge with offers of compensation that results in attempts to withdraw a case? Why was the 11 Feb case involving Brian Nguvayashe joined with the 19 Feb case of Sipho Mahlangu? Separate incidents, different complainants, different accused - make it make sense.

Why do people litter? Why throw your garbage next to the side of the road? Do better South Africa!

Today we held our City of Tshwane Andries Tatane campaign litter picking , tree pruning and grass cutting along R55 main road near Laudium and atteridgeville entrance . We met the workers, sharing ideas on how to keep our roads and community clean and safe. We have listened to workers concerns . This are the people who must get credit for cleaning the City of Tshwane on daily basis . Let’s stop littering and take of our beautiful City of Tshwane . #EFFInGovernment
