Robert Mueller, who died at 81, served his country for decades as a U.S. Marine officer in Vietnam, where he was awarded the Purple Heart, and later as a federal prosecutor. To attack him in death is an attack on decency itself and a degradation of the office. He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
