@SandPatterson @wishbone48 well she benefited from the theft! So she should be jointly liable.

My favourite moment in the car crash #bbclaurak interview was when Laura suggested Sturgeon should contribute to refunding donors. The snippy "What do you mean...?" was an unguarded honest response that revealed her entitled attitude.

Ed Davey has written to Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson demanding she WITHDRAW official EHRC guidance protecting female-only spaces in toilets and changing rooms.
Let that land.
The Equalities and Human Rights Commission โ a statutory body โ has produced legally grounded guidance telling employers and public bodies that biological men should not access womenโs single-sex spaces.
This is not opinion.
This is not politics.
This is the settled legal position following the Supreme Courtโs landmark ruling on the meaning of โwomanโ under the Equality Act.
And Ed Davey wants it gone.
His stated reason?
The guidance is not โcompatible with long-standing British values.โ
British values.
He used those words to argue AGAINST protecting womenโs single-sex spaces.
The same Liberal Democrats who lecture the country about tolerance, inclusion and human rights are now lobbying a Labour minister to tear up statutory guidance that protects every woman in Britain who walks into a changing room, a refuge or a hospital ward.
This is not a fringe position within the Lib Dems.
Their leader wrote the letter.
The party has chosen its side.
It is not the side of women.
Repost if you think womenโs single-sex spaces should be protected.

Living in a luxury house in London and sipping champagne on the book festival circuit is about as far away from serving a prison sentence as I can imagine. Itโs worth remembering that thanks to Nicola Sturgeon vulnerable women in Scottish prisons are banged up with violent men.

A paedophile groped a ten-year-old girl to satisfy his own thoughts Charles Durdle abused the girl, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, in Sussex.
The 23-year-old had a fascination with the "taboo" but breached the trust of the girl's parents, a court heard.
Teachers noticed how the girl had gone from being happy and sociable to withdrawn and upset.
She eventually admitted to her mother what had been happening, and she is now "not the girl she once was".
Durdle admitted his sick crimes and at Lewes Crown Court Her Honour Judge Janet Waddicor imposed a ten-month suspended sentence as the defendant is undergoing rehabilitation for sex offenders.
Rowan Jenkins, prosecuting, said the multiple incidents of sexual touching took place between May to August 2019.
He said Durdle's behaviour was a serious breach of trust.
The girl's mother said: "I will never forget the haunting words that came from my daughter. It fills me with chills.
"He has ripped our whole lives apart.
"I am eaten up with guilt that as a mother I was not there for her during these horrific acts.
"We feel trapped and want to wake up from this nightmare. We will all find it extremely hard to trust somebody.
"My innocent child's life has changed from being happy to now being guarded and looking inward. She is not the girl she once was."
Mr Jenkins said Durdle had denied having a wider sexual interest in children and shocked himself at how far he went to explore his "morbid curiosity" with the "taboo".
Judge Waddicor said Durdle's behaviour was "truly shocking", in particular how he deceived those related to the girl.
The judge said the pervert had "betrayed" the trust of the girl and her family, and said similar cases can often lead to girls not being believed which can cause rifts and further harm.
"You are rightly disgusted by what you have done," the judge said, and said that because he has taken responsibility and confessed to his behaviour, he is capable of being rehabilitated.
Durdle, of Queens Approach, Uckfield, was given a ten-month suspended sentence and was ordered to complete 30 rehabilitation sessions.
He must also complete the Horizon sex offender programme, and will be on the sex offenders register tor ten years.
The court also imposed a ten year sexual harm prevention order to restrict Durdle's access to children.

Anonymous:
Anonymous: This week, I was at a water park with my family when a teenager untied the top of my bikini from behind, as a "prank." I turned around and slapped him hard.
I'm 32 years old. I was in the shallow pool with my daughter, trying to teach her how to swim, when I suddenly felt someone yank sharply on the strings of my swimsuit.
Before I could even understand what was happening, the fabric came loose. I turned around and saw this boy, about 16 or 17 years old, standing there. He had a disgusting smirk on his face, holding the strings of my bikini in his hand, and laughing with his buddies like he'd just pulled off the prank of the year.
I didn't even think. My hand hit his cheek before my brain could catch up. It was a really hard slap. His smirk vanished instantly. He stumbled back, both hands on his face, while his friends went dead silent.
And then the yelling started. His parents appeared out of nowhere. His mother started screaming that I'd "assaulted a child." His father threatened to call the police. He called me a "hysterical woman" and said I had no right to hit a minor.
The security guards and lifeguards rushed over. The boy's parents demanded I be arrested for assault and battery. They said they were going to press charges and called me a "violent woman" who had "no right" to touch their son.
I told them to check the surveillance cameras. The angle that shows how he grabbed the top of my swimsuit. They should go question the witnesses: my husband, Julien, saw it; another mother saw it too.
I told the parents clearly: if they wanted to press charges against me for the slap, I'd press charges against their son for sexual harassment. For stripping me in front of my daughter and complete strangers, and for touching me without my consent.
We were all asked to leave the pool. I was sitting in the car, shaking and humiliated, clutching my top tightly closed against me, while my husband drove home in silence.
Then he finally said: "Did you really have to hit him that hard? He's just a kid. You probably could've just yelled. Now we might end up with charges against us."
Just a kid. A kid who thought it was funny to half-strip a woman in public. A kid whose parents have clearly taught him that a woman's body is a playground for "stupid jokes."
Am I wrong for reacting with my hands instead of words when a stranger yanked on my clothes to expose me? And for refusing to apologize for defending my dignity in front of my daughter?

Anyone who says the stories about heightened tick populations are false, can get their butts down here and see what I see everyday.
I used to do weekly tick checks. Now it's every 3 days. My dogs, dairy cows, barn cats, sheep. And me.
Just yesterday I had 7.
Heads need to roll. This is not nature doing what nature does. This is purposeful, and it's freaking evil.
And for the people that feel an obligation to comment about using flea and tick protection, save your breath. I've used everything from Sorresto to NexGard. We spray, use powder, drops, and collars. We do apple cider vinegar, garlic, and oregano oil.
These ticks are bioengineered and you cannot tell me any different. They are resistant to all known preventions.
When I heard stories of boxes of ticks being dropped off I laughed. It sounded so stupid and tin foil hat. I'm sorry. I was wrong.
I'm wondering if one didn't get dropped off nearby.
I need to buy more tin foil.

@OurPastHasGone @RosieDuffield1 I do have one. Xmas present at least 10 years ago. Itโs lasted longer than any hairdryer Iโve ever had and itโs much quieter - why my ex partner bought it - he hated the noise of my old one every day! ๐คฃ

@jan_murray what I would call a sex pervert!
I donโt want these men in toilets where young girls may be and neither would any normal women.
English

โThey just want the dignity of being confirmed in their sex โฆ or their โadopted sexโ, if you like.โ
I wonder if this is the kind of person the BBCโs Nick Robinson had in mind when he made this comment during a recent BBC Radio 4 interview about the EHRCโs guidance on single-sex spaces.
And I wonder whether he realises that, if people were entitled to have their โadopted sexโ recognised under equality law, women would be unable to exclude men like this from their changing rooms, toilets and even domestic violence refuges.
I also wonder whether he would want that for his wife or daughter. Or feel it was โdignified.โ
English

@AnnieHQ21 Because they get paid extra for getting people on statins.
