@CommutingLarry Yeah, I went through the passageway on the upper level and then down through the tunnel to get to the B lanes and could see some mopping going on through the doors.
So why were the doors to the bus level of the Journal Square Transportation Center tied shut on Saturday night? The guy who spent $15 on a cab ride instead of a $1.60 bus ride wants to know
We have invested in our Jersey City parks at an unprecedented rate both creating new parks and existing parks have been a success story - In the last 10 years as mayor we have constructed entirely new parks at Berry Lane Park, Coles Park, Fairmount Park, Bethune Park + soon to be both City Hall Park, and Courthouse Park (longer term opportunities are Embankment, Skyway that will be after my admin)
Wow, this is just embarrassing. Does pleading and groveling work for fundraising? (And also, they did NOT ask me Tuesday or Wednesday so nice misplaced guilt trip there)
@Ollie_Cycles@bikejc@StevenFulop I appreciate this extension! Every linear foot is a fight. Also, if I were commuting to city hall from the heights, I think I'd probably opt for New York Ave...
The Newark @bikejc lane is being extended a short but crucial distance to connect it to Brunswick & which connects to Columbus. That this gap existed for as long as it did tells me @StevenFulop literally never bike commutes.
@NJBikeWalk@northjersey Would love to see what they have in mind, but this is already one of the more bike friendly and well travelled bike routes in the state, if not the country!
@TanyaEverywhere@danaMpatton Loved eating next to his laser printer in his place in the Heights! I gotta check in on the new place...thanks for the reminder.
Next week we start another Expanded protected bikeway on the west side connecting the community to the existing network.
The west side bikeway would include connect Mallory Ave to the existing network in Lincoln Park. From Lincoln Park, Duncan Avenue would be restriped to install protected lanes as well. The team is also working on plans to install PBLs on portions of Bergen Avenue to complete the connection to the existing PBL network, which terminates at McGinley Square.
The first segment of this bikeway along Duncan Avenue is anticipated to begin installation next Tuesday October 3rd.
Writing today about the stigmatization of conspiracy theories. I've got a lot about social scientists and historians who critiqued conspiracism. I'm looking for examples of artists who helped dramatize the dangers of conspiratorial thinking--besides Miller/Crucible.
