I used to wonder how so many smart people could get caught up in such dumb business practices & ideas during financial bubbles. Now that we are having an AI revolution, I understand.

I suspect that the reason small businesses pay marketing companies to take over their marketing is because they are afraid of the work it takes to build it out themselves.

I think you have to make $1m ARR in a service business before it will start paying you... Unless you are working in the business

Tough truth about junior software engineering right now: Cursor background agents are so good right now they have essentially replaced junior devs. I can ask Cursor to code a new complex feature from Slack and it will create a PR in minutes that is mostly correct. Oh and by the way, that costs around $20-$100/month compared to an engineering salary of $10k/month.
