By taking private flights even for events of public significance, Vijay shows he is uncomfortable being around a bunch of ordinary people. Without understanding crowd behaviour, how can he face a CBI enquiry, which will largely focus on his management of the crowd in Karur that led to the deaths of 41 innocent people, including kids?
A political leader must be one with the common man to understand ground realities. This elitist mindset of staying aloof may work in the movie industry but never in politics.
His reluctance to meet the press also makes him appear like a coward, unwilling to face tough situations that any political leader, especially one who aspires to be Chief Minister, would encounter.
If his party comes to power and a major crisis occurs, instead of visiting the spot, he might ask victims to come to his office or home and run away from the press, fearing tough questions.

*When terror attacks took place in UPA years, demands for political resignations would instantly follow amidst accusation of weak leadership.
*When terror attacks take place now in NDA years, everyone is blamed (including so called ‘sickularists’ (sic) ) except those in power who talk of ‘mooh tod jawab’ and are ultimately responsible for internal and external security of citizens.
REALITY CHECK: Truth is, a rogue, dysfunctional Pakistan army-state continues to sponsor cross border terror against Indian civilians and combatants in the name of Islam and two nation theories without fear of tangible retribution.
