I’m growing a bit weary about the growing influence Riot is taking on what can and cannot be played in certain lanes as of recent. I get the intent but I do think there has been a LOT of creative innovation over the years that would not exist without someone testing the waters for a weird pick in a real game It just feels like a really slippery slope Why even let them pick the champion in the first place at that point? Clearly the data is there if the termination is mastery based Are we then going to limit champion select on mastery across the board? If not, why? That is just bad communication by Riot isn’t it? And to be clear, I do NOT think that is a good idea but we should at least be consistent I am in a unique position where I have done actual research into champion picks at Apex tiers, so please do not discount my concerns by saying “Riot has data we don’t!” People playing champions they don’t have high mastery with DOES have a proven negative impact on the game, even at a high level of play where general skill is higher. I have proven that for myself and made the data available. But how can they improve on the champion in a highly competitive space if they can’t practice it in that environment? “Play it in norms first” works for platinum peter who is playing against a relatively average skill level in normal games but what normal game bot duo is going to properly punish a challenger player on an off pick? Most challenger players could pick AD Brand and win a norms if they aren’t someone who plays norms often to have high mmr in it To a question of “would you not ever terminate a lobby and punish a player for troll picking, then?” my response would be this: If the player is behaving honestly and is not antagonizing in chat, let them cook. If they show a pattern of poor behavior IN GAME you should punish them, and if they have repeated offenses of that specific behavior where they are clearly negatively impacting games when picking off-meta champions you can be more harsh about the punishment but it should not ever be based on champion mastery alone. It should be based on a pattern of displayed behavior.

parrying is only interesting in PVP games. Dark Souls 1 is the best game of all time because you don't parry any boss except the final one, which it trivializes.

@Verdeglenbro @TheNCSmaster i agree that seemed like a likely outcome during the end of part 1 and early into part 2 but after seeing the direction the story took it's fair denji receives a semi-tragic ending. he wouldn't turn off the power/fame machine. pochita had to sacrifice the narrative to save him.

I agree that it was bringing destruction to his life but the way any character arc would work is for him to realize he doesn’t need to be Cahinsaw Man. I’ve always thought that this series will end with Denji having to take down Pochita or let him go. Because that’s truly the only for this story to end. Plus Pochita eating himself didn’t really get rid of him, it only reset him

Is it strange to say this series ended so abruptly and out of the blue it doesn’t feel like it’s fully registered to a lot of people that Chainsaw Man is over? It’s like Fujimoto went “OhByTheWayThat’sTheEndBYE!”

@prfctsnst @Verdeglenbro @TheNCSmaster but he didn't stop being chainsaw man. denji ceased to exist, and then was replaced by a different denji, that was never chainsaw man in the first place. when denji2 drops the chainsaw, it means nothing to him. it doesn't indicate an arc or development, it's just a chainsaw.

I refuse to believe that’s the end. Denji’s character arc is still not over, he still needs to grow past Chainsaw Man. I know the ending shows him dropping the chainsaw but that doesnt count since his whole character arc has been reset. Plus I think the prophecy isn’t very. I don’t think it was about Death Devil.

@zireex1 @WistfulHunger it's tricky spacing where most leblanc players would so strongly believe they should use W to get over the wall that they don't consider that without W they won't have lethal if leblanc isn't flashing to ensure the trade she shouldn't have roamed

@prfctsnst @zireex1 well you know the dragon timer, its literally the first drake lol here are the comps regardless of whether he is able to get a kill or not, i think we both agree that he shouldn't have died and wasted flash trying to live. just go watch how he played that sequence

@prfctsnst yeah which is why i think he can just flash in to be in w range or at the very least slow play it in a way that doesnt end up with him dying and losing flash XD in fact doing nothing would be a better outcome than what he actually did

@WistfulHunger i think you need the additional damage from the second part of E for leblanc to kill without 2 autos and it seems like skarner is barely too far for it

@prfctsnst q e can kill there, he can also just flash w in since lb knows skarner has no e up and karma has no shield or ult

@WistfulHunger red side has vision, distortion doesn't hit skarner if she uses it to get over the wall, skarner is too far for chains to root. Needs 1 Q and 2 autos to kill assuming Skarner doesn't have W up
