Okay railway friends here, on Thursday I'm making a journey with a seven-minute connection from a XC train at BTM (ex-Manchester) to a GWR one at Taunton. Is that wise? My spidey senses are telling me it could be very, very tight.

Got a chance to meet and chat with Casper Van Dien and Patrick Muldoon from Starship Troopers this weekend in Aberdeen. They were absolutely awesome to talk with and hilarious.

Just landed in Aberdeen, ready to head to Comic Con Scotland. I would travel by train but as the flight is 10 hours quicker, on this occasion the flight won

@AndyRoden1 @Modern_Railways @BBCCornwall @LukePollard Reading you're most recent edition of the flight opened my eyes to how Scotland is seemingly knocking it out the park in terms or railways. And England feels bogged down in committees and people with ideas but no drive 😕

@Modern_Railways is quoted in this news story on @BBCCornwall. @LukePollard is right - rail can be a huge catalyst for growth, but the South West must make a compelling case for the investment, not simply hold out the begging bowl for funds claiming unfairness.
