@CavanUlster @Nigelhg @paulmurphy68 The Brits have been in Ireland for longer than your family can trace its Irish ancestry back most likely. Over 1000 years. Ireland is British in all but name. Sadly, the population has always been thick and easily brainwashed.

@SconeOf @outofunion @RosieSandison England is ruled from bubble of London, we are in the same position. What London says goes. All constituent nations are ran from London. However, as one of the most powerful cities in the world, arguably THE MOST, thatโ€™s how it should be.

@outofunion We could make all debts payable, and youโ€™d be absolutely fucked. Unable to have your own stable currency, which would bar you from joining the EU and make your imports unaffordable and unreliable.

@JohnSwinney @martin_compston Say's a lot that during the great times of the UK, you were happy to stay in the union and enjoy the power, money and glory. When we've declined, you're the first to jump ship and always on the attack instead proactively helping to rebuild the once great UK.

On the pitch with @martin_compston in Greenock and our message is simple: An SNP majority at this election can unlock the fresh start of independence, and lock Nigel Farage out of power in Scotland. On May 7th, make it #BothVotesSNP. ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ

Will you commit to a military alliance between the four nations and sharing of armed forces, nuclear detterent, and navy alongside a full commitment to keep modernising and spending on the armed forces and navy ensuring the safety of our country and partner countries? If so I can do two votes SNP

@ToryMemo82 It's the American's who forced the dismantlement of the British Empire. Fuck em. And fuck Europe too. We should only be looking to Canada, Australia and New Zealand and our overseas territories.

@JakeTur41035506 @johnfinucane I assume this new state would be an EU state. So they're happy to be ruled by Brussels. Lets be real if London rolled back the years and dropped their regulations and taxes for corporations to the level of Ireland, they'd probably all move to London and their GDP would collapse

@rcf14a @johnfinucane not sure if sinn fein run with this line but the normal nationalist line is that they want to abolish both the UK and ROI, creating a new state in all of ireland with new institutions. god knows what would happen in practice though

Let me be clear. Sinn Fรฉin will work together with all those parties who share the desire & pursuit of independence, including those in Scotland & Wales who want to break the shackles of Westminster rule. There is nothing united about the โ€˜United Kingdomโ€™. Momentum is building towards massive constitutional change, here in Ireland, but also in Scotland & Wales.

Workers and families pay their taxes and deserve to be supported through this cost of living crisis. Only Keir Starmer has the power and the resources to cut tax on petrol, diesel, and home heating oil, and to deliver a meaningful cost of living package. He has chosen to spend that money instead on weapons of war. In the absence of action by the British government, we are doing everything we can to support workers and families.
