@MrsJLovesJesus@teachthemx3 To that, I say what are the root causes of this behavior? How often is this happening? I agree that's awful for teachers to have to deal with though. It's also awful that these parents don't have the capacity to figure this out.
@MrsJLovesJesus@teachthemx3 I think parents are doing their best and so are educators. People need to give each other a little grace, admit confirmation bias, and avoid hasty generalizations.
@teachthemx3 I remember when I was in HS (2002-2005), and the teacher would confiscate the contraband in question, march you to the principal’s office, and you’d get detention and school community service. What a weak society we’re creating by fearing the emotions of children.

Trying out the @remarkablepaper for reading academic papers.
So far so good:
- Easy to sync with drive/dropbox.
- Feels like writing with a pencil.
Main downside is inability to connect with hotel WiFi as no browser. But hotspot via phone works fine.
Also, would be nice if marker can jump between pen/highlighter via a gesture or button.
Note: I’d probably make a dedicated drive/dropbox; as anyone who gains access to your remarkable account will also gain access to the drive.

@PalinskiAuthor@remarkablepaper I had a RM2 as well. No issues with that one. It's the colour one that is terrible. I just want to help people save their money and time.
@rex_third@remarkablepaper I've been using the same RM2 since 2021 and apart from me damaging the power button and getting creative on the fix, it still works great and they haven't forgotten those with older tablets.
Nearly every update is applicable to mine and some of the recent have been amazing.
Okay I'm not paid by @remarkablepaper (you can if you want though!), but I am constantly impressed with the updates and quality of this company.

@Michael_Urwin@remarkablepaper@caseorganic I've had a terrible experience with the Remarkable paper pro. I returned one because it was ghosting so bad it was unusable. They replaced it, and now the second one is ghosting. Save your money.
