This institution was built on integrity, service, and excellence; values that will not be compromised by opportunists and self-serving interests. I was following Parliament today as they discussed KDF recruitment, and I heard an argument that I’ve also been thinking about. Kenya has 1,450 wards, and KDF is recruiting 6,500 officers. Why not simply divide the number 6,500 ÷ 1,450 so that each ward gets about three slots? Wouldn’t that be fairer, give every part of Kenya equal opportunity, and help build a stronger sense of nationhood? Because right now, I’m told that in some places, all the recruits can end up coming from just one ward. I will also share a clip of one of the mps who has a similar view
