@TheLemonheads It was a pleasure bumping into you in Cork. Thanks for your kind words to my wife and I. Thinking about it now…we’ve had a bit part in your life, a walk on was just fine…it’s just a shame my name is Ray. Good luck with the rest of the tour.

2024. Done. On the pitch it's been an emotional, unpredictable experience with some serious lows and some bloody good highs. The Scousers at Old Trafford and City in the cup final will live long in the memory. We've been shit for the most part but moments like that live forever. Ten Hag out, Amorim in, with a sprinkling of Ruud in between. It may have only been for a couple of weeks, but seeing that gorgeous bastard on the touchline was a thing of beauty. This is an end of year positivity post so I won't dwell on the negatives too much, Christ knows we know enought about them already. This feels the lowest I've ever felt as a United fan. Off the pitch, the page has trundled on with not too much to shout about. Other fan pages / online communities can still deliver content on negativity, some are fucking experts at it, but it's something I struggle with. It felt too toxic to produce content in Erik's final months and I didn't want to get the tone wrong in Rubens first games in charge. If we're shit and we lose, I don't want to create content, but given the state of things and the future outlook, I really might need to have a think about that. We're getting two Comms a month now, if we're lucky. And the less I do, the more I struggle with the motivation to create. I question if people still like them and if they're worth my time. It's been going for four years nearly now, so I'm naturally going to feel things may be running a little dry ... And the dozy bastards on the pitch aren't helping. Hopefully as the Reds pick up, the content will too. Thanks to everyone who has subbed to the patreon, bought merch, donated a Guinness, met for a pint, reached out via DM and just generally interacted with the page to keep those dopamine hits coming and giving me the kick I need to carry on with all of this. Aside from the page, I now have a 13 month old. Fucking mental. It's been one hell of a year adjusting to being a Dad. A challenging, rollercoaster of a year, but the best year of my life. Another highlight ... I was also invited to the 99 premier by @AndyMitten and got to see what David Beckham smells like in real life. He smells gorgeous. This is starting to sound like I'm best man at my own fucking wedding, Christ alive, I've only had 3 pints ... Shout out to a few of you for good measure, who without this community, I would never have met: @DamanPeel - total gent for chauffeuring me around to away games and back. @amy_lou_mufc & @SandipP64097927 for checking in on me more than my own Mum did when I was having a fucking breakdown being a new dad. @MullyMUFC for regularly looking out for me with match tickets. @LifeonMarv for having a Mrs that serves up the best nachos know to man. @Quarterb4ckPunk for being as much as an alcoholic as I am and making me feel less conscious about it. That's it for now, this is on track to be the longest tweet created by anyone, ever, and the wee one is at her grandparents for the night so the good Mrs and myself are getting dressed up and going for a slap up meal. Thanks as always for the support and for taking the account and all of its humour for exactly what it should be. I fucking love this page and the people who follow it. Straight up Reds who don't bother themselves with the toxic online bullshit that drags the mood down. We're becoming a divided fanbase and my aim is to keep things lighthearted and fun. Have a good night and all the best for the new year. More regular content coming in 2025. I promise. One love. Beard is best. Cheers x

@rmurph01 No plans for this year Ray. Perhaps a few festivals next year, but I have already signed numerous copies which have gone to a variety of shops all over the country. I know @KennysBookshop have loads available for mail order and Easons and Ennis and loads more have signed copies.

@johncreedon @KennysBookshop Thanks John. Listen to your show regularly with my daughter after I pick her from Leaving Cert study. For better or worse she’ll always associate your show with the LC but then again you are giving her a lesson is top music. Best Wishes!

@SmnLlyd5 It sure isn’t but at least we can pass on the values they thought us through our kids. I bring my son to Old Trafford when I can but the Munster matches are never the same. Your book captures that bond perfectly.

@rmurph01 Thanks for this Ray. It’s been great hearing from people who’ve read it such as yourself! Sorry to hear you’ve lost your dad too. It’s not the same without them, is it?

@SmnLlyd5 Just finished your wonderful book. Having lost my own Dad the tears were flowing down my face. Your book really captures the relationship with our dads, how it changes during the years but how sport plays an important bond on keeping communication open. Thank you.

@conorniland1 Well done on a fantastically well written sports book. Could hardly put it down and finished it in two days - it was meant to last me longer on holidays😂. Your honesty shone through and your account of losing your Dad almost had me in tears. One amazing book 👏👏👏

@GuinnessIreland Over 30 years of drinking Guinness, I can safely say I had my worst experience yesterday in Goldbergs, Cork. Pints only poured 5 sixths the way up & handed directly to customers with the bark that they are not topping them up today as they are too busy.
