@RosieDuffield1 @BBCNews you're tweeting like a divorced comedy writer gleefully expelling children from their scoial clubs cheered on by the most vile reationaries on earth. Does it ever weigh on your mind arch pedophile donald trump holds the exact same views on this as you do?

@sally_hines Support for single sex spaces has increased each time this survey has been carried out since 2018. The risks are clear and the majority of women do believe people can claim whatever gender identity they want but that men should not be invading our spaces by saying they are women.

Oh dear. Meanwhile, almost 100,000 women have signed an open letter in support of trans rights in the UK. Link to letter is below if you are a non trans woman and you wish to sign. #NotInOurName

@emphabet @nyaraVT They do not have the same risk as women - but taking cross sex hormones does increase this risk and other issues.

@nyaraVT A lot of fear mongering "hormones increase the risk of CANCER" stuff fails to note that it's just a normal shifting of risks from one category to another. Trans women have higher rates of breast cancer than cís men... ...but the same rate as cís women

Trans women on HRT have a lot of similar risks as cìs women because so many medical conditions are caused by your dominant hormone, not assigned sex. If you’re a trans woman and your hormone levels get compared to the average male, it may lead to an incorrect diagnosis.
Eleanora Ní Chualáın 🏳️‍⚧️🇮🇪@EleanoraStats

Accurately recording trans people's biological sex as the sex that they ARE (i.e. female for trans women, male for trans men) is critical medical information. Giving a trans women on HRT medical treatment intended for high-T males is dangerous and potentially fatal.

@NicolaJ96889311 @AspieJames @Heccles94 They do seem a bit obsessed. Like with sports, when they suggest that's what will happen rather than a simple cheek swab. As humans, like all animals, have evolved to differentiate sex, it's not that hard to do anyway. They also don't seem to care about safeguarding and risk.

@splitmaude Accurate enough, most people think you should be able to claim a different gender, so it's not hate. They also know men pose a risk to women, so believe men shouldn't use that claim to invade single sex spaces and activities. No hyperbole needed...

@SquidCynical @an77684124 @BevJacksonAuth @nocontextEFC You may want some boys to be allowed in the Guides and others to be excluded on the basis of claims about identity. You may not care about girls having single sex spaces. However, your perception that it's not an issue when it is for lots of other people is rather egocentric.

@AspieJames @Heccles94 When working with children safeguarding is essential. All that's required is a birth certificate to verify a child's age and sex. It's often used for organisations, or groups that have criteria like under 10's football or girl guides. Mixed sex groups like scouts exist too.

@Heccles94 I'd like to know how they have identified the trans kids to be removed, since by law they don't need to disclose that they are. So it's either genital checks or the little girls that some bigoted parents suspect of being trans or not looking feminine enough? Real question ❓

@jimkler_ @LilithLovett 75% of men who say they are trans have no surgery and 25% don't even take estrogen. Do you stare at other men in the loo? Most blokes don't, so they can use the loo with you and women will face less risk as women face a higher risk of being abused in mixed sex spaces by men.

@LilithLovett It's like they think perverts are out there playing the long game by undergoing years of transition, life altering surgeries, changing their name/ID etc. all as an elaborate scheme to sneak into smelly, dirty public bathrooms to stare at women.

Trans people in bathrooms is like the biggest fabricated non-issue of all time. If a man wanted to assault women in bathrooms they would not go through the trouble of putting on a dress. A bathroom sign and law would do literally nothing since assault is already against the law.

@nyaraVT This benefits girls. Where is your evidence that organisers, parents and girls don't want this? Lots of people who want this as per the responses to you. As the survey shows people do not want males in female only spaces. Boys can join mixed sexed groups doing similar activities.

@JenniferSey This from people who use surgery and filters to pretend they're women! 'You're ugly' is the same old misogyny that was used against the suffragettes. We are not all classic beauties or young - who cares. What you do is more important than their pathetic obsession with looks.

To all the people in my mentions and DMs telling me I look old ... I am! That's not an insult! That's like telling me I'm short. I'm just fine looking the age that I am. Why shouldn't I be? (I'm fine being short too.) To all the people telling me I look "trans" or like a man ... I thought "trans women" are women and are more beautiful than real women or "c*s" women? So I'll take it as a compliment. Thank you! To all the people telling me I look like the Hulk and look at your neck! See point 1, yes we age. Grateful to have the opportunity to do so. Also, the Hulk looks and is strong, so again, I'll take it as a compliment. Thank you! Happy Monday!

@sjbwoodcraft @KaskaJessica It is you who are rewriting history, as happens with the Stonewall Riots. Thankfully @FredSargeant corrects you on that one. And here's some information and an image from the time in question. Also look at the Beaumont Society for anti-gay organisations at the time in question.

Explain how that works on someone who knew they were trans the 80s under section 28 where you couldn't talk about LGBTQ anything to minors & there was no internet. Go on, I'll wait.

@kami_no_youna @RCrasX @LiquidGoth Thankfully we are going to continue to have single sex toilets to provide privacy, dignity and for women safety - including due to Workplace Regulations '92. Most people want them despite your strange ideas about the Victorian era, women's suffrage, the workplace and toilets...

@silverhairedms @RCrasX @LiquidGoth The process for deciding policy is consultations, not opinion polls, if we did everything according to opinion polls the urinary leash wouldn't have been challenged in public life. history wise I would implore a more holistic look into the suffragists of the time specifically.

@kami_no_youna @RCrasX @LiquidGoth What's your data for that? In the same place as the data for the work place issue? I know many people work at home but what's home toilets got to do with your point about working? Why are you so against women having toilets free of men? Most people support this.

@silverhairedms @RCrasX @LiquidGoth "Women don't want mixed sex toilets as they're less safe" More sexual violence has been conducted in single sex toilets than unisex, despite there literally being more unisex toilets in the UK (namely essentially every household)

@salltweets @aytchellesse I love the line that 'women who claim to be men will have to remember that that includes them' - one thing I found with the menopause was the symptoms certainly remind you that you're a woman! TIFs on drugs get an early one too - no escaping the joys of it all!

Fun fact: the reason that the definitions of “man” & “woman” were taken out of the sex discrimination act was so women who claim to be men would still get things like pregnancy protections. But it backfired & the potential ambiguity in the legislation was used to the advantage of men who claim to be women. The point being: even if something is done to try to include or to for the benefit of women who claim to be men, expect men who claim to be women to use it for themselves soon enough. So, learning from previous mistakes, probably best to just leave it as “menopause happens exclusively to women” and the women who claim to be men will have to remember that that includes them.

@kami_no_youna @RCrasX @LiquidGoth More people working meant more toilets with women breaking the urinary leash, so they built and paid for more a long time ago. Women don't want mixed sex toilets as they're less safe. (Still unclear about you linking all this to work in the first place btw).

@RCrasX @kami_no_youna @LiquidGoth There are mixed sex single sex cubicles in smaller places already and many places thankfully have accessible and inclusive toilets for disabled people but only having them is an expensive way to deal with something that's not a problem. Most people are fine using single sex loos.

@kami_no_youna @LiquidGoth Women around the world want our own toilets, the concept was and is fought for for dignity, privacy and safety. Have you seen the stats for attacks in mixed sex loos, changing rooms etc. Still no idea what negative outcome single mixed sex loos have regards women and employment.

@silverhairedms @LiquidGoth > Are you saying mixed sex loos enable women to work and single sex ones don't? I'm saying that the very concept of single sex toilets was only popularised to prevent the existing toilets being regarded as unisex, legislatively there wasn't any specification on this until 1992.
