An absolutely excruciating moment at the Georgia Supreme Court this week. Justice Peterson pressed state attorney Deborah Leslie over her citations to cases that apparently donโ€™t exist.

I donโ€™t understand. This stuff is real, it exists, you can actually buy it, and yet the VR market is almost dead. What happened to the kids in the 90s who dreamed about this possibility? Why do modern kids now go crazy for games where you donโ€™t really do anything, where at most you just swipe up and down, or spend their time screaming in stupid games that require no concentration, like amoebas with no curiosity? This stuff finally f***ing exists, and yet the videogame market pretends itโ€™s invisible. F***! F***! F***! In 1998, when we were 13 playing Resident Evil 2 on the PlayStation with my friends, we would have killed to be able to play something like this. @exQUIZitely What @AlbinoSqrl said. It climaxed in 2004. I'm a fan of quake 3 team arena, but the other thing i liked was unreal tournament 2003. I liked it better than unreal tournament 2004. The fact that 2003 was a flop was unbeknownst to me.

Did FPS games peak in the 90s? I guess the newer ones have better graphics, but do they really "feel" better in terms of gameplay and fun? Unreal Tournament (Epic Games, 1999) was one of the best of its kind. A favorite for our LAN sessions back in the day. Carrying a 21" mintor over to your friend's house felt a little less heavy when you knew you'd be playing Unreal later that day... Exellent and colorful graphics (even on PCs that weren't high end, like those you needed for Quake III Arena for example), great sound, and your typical capture the flag or deathmatches - I mean, what more did you need? Plenty of "Game of the Year" nominations (with some wins), the highest of critcal acclaim, and massive sales numbers. I think we can all agree that Unreal Tournament belongs in the Hall of Fame of FPS games. Or maybe I am just getting old and gloryfing things from the past too much?

An attention letter to the entire Cardano and Midnight community as we enter March, the month Midnight mainnet goes live. It has caught my attention (with several messages on DMs) that multiple protocols gear up for launch (or so they say) on Midnight. More specifically they want to partner up with me to handle their ICO/presale but I am amazed by the amount of zero-effort attempts they are preparing. Almost all of them have not written a single line of code and are ready to ask for funding. This is beyond unacceptable! I will not collaborate with any protocol that can not prove they have done at least the effort to have a working product on the testnet no matter the compensation they offer!

@rushicrypto This is naive thinking. Getting rid of religion is all about being in favor one belief system above all others, even if that's an atheistic belief system (marxism). And as well, the underlying human nature wouldn't have changed either.

I donโ€™t say this to be edgy or disrespectful. I just genuinely feel like the world would be a better place without religion. So much hate. So many wars. So many people taught to fear instead of think. If believing in God brings someone peace, fine. But when belief turns into control, division, and violenceโ€ฆ what are we really defending? Sometimes it feels like weโ€™d be kinder without it.

If you publish it publicly, that's why you publish the public key (be able to view the wallet contents) and nothing else. They published the private key (seed phrase, lets you sign transactions). Check the time stamp of the tweet with the seed phrase, and compare it against the time stamp of the transaction that drained the wallet.

@similiken @ProofOfMoney It would be beautiful if you are right. Publish it publicly, but already have something ready to drain funds moments after it is known to be public, but before the public can. A perfect crime.

Hilarious. South Koreaโ€™s National Tax Service published their recent confiscation of stolen crypto by showing a photo of the seed phrase they retrieved. $4.8 million was immediately drained.

5 years in the Cardano ecosystem. When I joined the Cardano Community the ecosystem was a fraction of what it is today. The tools were early. The community was small but relentless. But what changed the most isn't the technology. It's the people. The builders I met in year one are now running projects, leading governance, shipping products. Five years is long enough to see hype cycles come and go. What stays is the work. And the work has never been more real than right now. Grateful for every conversation, every late night, every hard decision that brought us here. The next five are going to be something else.

Dear Cardano community, There has been a lot of talk about USDCx on Cardano, so here's a petite explanation on how it works and what it means for users. ๐Ÿง๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿ„ USDCx is a version of USDC that works on Cardano (UTXO-supported). Every USDCx is backed 1:1 by real USDC held in Circleโ€™s reserve, so itโ€™s fully collateralized and safe (itโ€™s not algorithmic or synthetic). Instead of using a risky third-party bridge you may have seen elsewhere, the system works through a mint-and-burn model. So, when you buy or own USDC on another chain or exchange (like Ethereum or Base), you'll then have to deposit that USDC into Circleโ€™s system (xReserve smart contract). Circle verifies it and mints USDCx on Cardano, and once that's done, you can then use USDCx in Cardano DeFi, payments, or trading. Later, when you want to redeem your USDCx, the original USDC is released. Right now, much of the USDC liquidity exists on other chains. So yes, minting USDCx can involve routing through other ecosystems. This is because most USDC liquidity already exists there. Stablecoins follow liquidity. As Cardano liquidity grows, dependence on other chains can/should decrease (correct me if wrong). ๐Ÿ˜ณ Some have also asked about treasury funding and IOGโ€™s role in this integration. IOG controls the "bridge" tech, keeps the IP, and can introduce or modify service fees in the future (set to zero at launch). If an IOG fee gets introduced and its purpose is to maintain the infrastructure to help cover costs and avoid additional treasury funding, in a decentralized space, transparency around this matter is highly appreciated. This is actually normal for software services but it kind of creates a centralized chokepoint from a governance perspective. Anyway, Cardano still has other native stablecoins that donโ€™t rely on "bridges" or external chains, like USDM. ๐Ÿ˜Š So yes, USDCx on Cardano may feel different today, but as the ecosystem grows and tools improve, using USDCx should become simpler and cheaper or that's what I hope. ๐Ÿคž Having USDCx is still a strong PR foundation for Cardanoโ€™s DeFi future.
Dr. Navjit Dhaliwal@NaVi_GaT0R

After reading the terms and conditions of $USDCx bridge, I have a few questions/comments. Hope we can get clarity on this.

@JuliaEMcCoy I say this a lot. It still matters how to do things the old fashioned way. There's plenty of need for this to have that underlying understanding of how many things work and how many things get done After all, apathy is a liar.

We are sending our kids to school to memorize facts that AI can retrieve in 0.3 seconds. We're grading them on essays that AI writes better than their teachers. We're preparing them for jobs that won't exist by the time they graduate. The entire education system is training humans to compete with machines at what machines do best. That's not education. That's sabotage. The schools that survive will teach thinking, not memorizing. Creating, not repeating. Discerning, not obeying. Every other school is a museum that doesn't know it yet.
