These are the top comments about Chuck Norris' death on Reddit. What a bunch of sad, pathetic people.

Every creative person I know that has embraced AI as a tool for their art has produced more content this month than all of last year. A true creative individual sees AI and feels completely empowered. They feel like the entire world has opened up to them. But a lot of self professed creative people, who have been grifting as creatives for decades, are about to be exposed as frauds who and pretenders who only know how to work within the politics of the current system. They will sit down before the greatest tool for creativity the world has ever known and not have a single idea how to use it or what story to tell. Pay attention to what is happening and who rejects the gift, and who embraces it.

What pussy-ass bitch on the Gemini discord flagged "sierra alpha charlie" as "NSFW Content"? Also, if Google considers harmless euphemisms "NSFW" then the whole company is a bunch of sissies! Literally anything can be taken the wrong way. Making people march on eggshells through a minefield needs to be a felony.

@ImKingGinger The problem with your defense of AI as a "tool" is that it dehumanizes the people who do work peripherally to the singular "artist". Editors, proof-readers, cover designers, inkers, colorists, animators, set builders, production designers, etc ARE ALL ARTISTS.

It's more complicated than that. Suppose you're a publisher. You give contracts with explicit no AI text clauses to authors. And then you suspect one uses AI. What do you do? If the author is usining AI they are guilty of fraud and breach of contract. Detectors are indeed worthless. But a publisher challenging someone isn't necessarily witch hunting. It's a mess tbh.

It’s downstream of the late capitalist vision of all industries existing in service of what can be sold as quickly and efficiently as possible, which is antithetical to any craft

The thing that confuses me about people who use AI in media is the question of why they’re making that thing in the first place. If you don’t want to write a book, why generate one? If you don’t want to paint, why are you advertising fake paintings?

@steakdriven @spiralings @VraserX you do know your exact words are right there, right? you can't go trying to change what you said cause you don't like how it came out, you quite literally said "all things should be legal" which would in fact be a complete elimination of all laws, which would be anarchy, genius

EU lawmakers are backing a ban on AI apps that generate unauthorized explicit images. This is one of the clearest signals yet that “open creativity” is losing ground when the abuse case gets too obvious. Should nudification apps be banned everywhere, yes or no?

I've been using emdashes in my writing since 2003. But sure, that's a sign of AI.

1. Disclose AI use. 2. Don't lie. 3. Everyone, including publishers, gets to decide their own policy. 4. Be wary of witch hunts. All of it goes back to item one. I know we won't get 100% compliance. Which is what will lead to item four. We've got a problems ahead, folks.

@EmilySm43 Subtle clues. Mostly tactile in nature, the way they breathe. Vocalizations that are natural, visceral - not performative.
