@guinnessstache This is awesome. How do you get the long term capital gains rate? Even if you hold for a year and a day doesn’t each dot get taxed as income upon receipt?

Broke 40,000 DOT staking! 🥳🎉🟣. I remember at one point when my goal was to get 5,000 DOT. Then it was 15,000. Now here I am at 40,000. By the end of this year the majority of my $dot should fall under long term capital gains. This is a big deal in the US as it lets us pay 20% tax instead of 40% when it comes time to cash some out. (However we also have to pay income tax...). That being said, the dream of having continuous PASSIVE income every year and paying myself a "paycheck" will most likely be a reality soon. It's been a long road but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel to living a life of complete passive income. I don't know what the future brings for @Polkadot as I don't have a crystal ball🔮. But what I do know is some of the biggest enterprise adoption is happening right now in this ecosystem. Wether it's @origin_trail with big pharma and AI, or @Kiltprotocol with Deloitte, Or even if it's @mythicalgames creating the start of a massive gaming ecosystem. People here on crypto @x will like to tell you that polkadot is dead because the price doesn't have wild swings like some of the top chains that have zero enterprise adoption, but this is when you have to filter out the noise, look at the real adoption that's happening and trust in yourself and your research over what some random accounts say on here. The future is looking bright and it's only going to get brighter. I'm hoping a few years from now I'm still on here typing out long boring tweets but from my own off grid farm, sipping a coffee on my farmers porch while watching the sun come up. It may seem far away now, but I have a feeling it's a lot closer than even I think.

Sooooo many people don't understand how much of a hit they'll take when taking out money from retirement. Literally almost half your money will be gone to taxes and penalties. Think long and hard before you withdraw that money from your 401k
