@TechLayoffLover IT professional here...IT has always been problematic for people just starting out, you can't get hired without experience and getting experience is impossible if no one will hire you. Honestly I succeeded cause I took an entry level position where I saw potential...worked out.

Kid graduated with a 3.9 GPA in CS and $167k in debt three weeks ago Been rejected from 623 entry-level positions Not ghosted. Actively rejected. With feedback. "Position filled by AI automation." "Role eliminated during digital transformation." "Headcount frozen pending workflow optimization." His algorithms professor said he was top 5% of his cohort His data structures final project got him a recommendation letter from the department head None of it matters because every company posting "entry-level software engineer" actually wants someone with 4+ years of AI prompt engineering experience The brutal part: he keeps getting auto-rejected by ATS systems built by the same companies that won't hire him His parents refinanced their house for his senior year tuition Last week he started learning how to drive for Uber The American dream just got automated out of existence and nobody in Congress gives a shit about $167k in debt that can't be discharged in bankruptcy His Stanford CS degree is now worth less than a CDL license

@heresyfinancial You know, I've tried many times to NOT get a refund...but I also don't want to write a check. The best I've ever done is get it down to a little less than $1k for the refund...it is what it is.

hey you stupid slag, this is amnesty. we did not vote for that. we do not want that. we want deportations. we want them all to go back home. i wish i was in your district so that i could vote against you. i didn't vote to deport "just the criminals." no, they are all fucking criminals! they are stealing American's heritage. they are stealing American's jobs. they are driving up the price of EVERYTHING, but most importantly housing. we want you to cut off immigration and close down H1-B and other programs that scam Americans out of jobs. you're a wolf in sheep's clothing. you're not a conservative. you might as well be a democrat, because this is a democrat bill. stop this horseshit. maybe try being a decent American! everyone else, stop voting for WOMEN. this is what they do with few exceptions!

WRONG.. and it’s ironic because this completely ignores what the bill actually does. It does NOT block deportations. Recent arrivals (who came under Biden) are deportable. Criminals are deportable. No exceptions so ICE can focus on their important mission. This section ensures people eligible for the Dignity Program (must have evidence of being here BEFORE 2021) are not deported while they are applying for Dignity Program. If they fail to meet processing requirements, they will be deported. However, the 24 month timeline is likely too long. It can be shortened significantly to sync up with the time needed to stand up the Dignity program. That’s how legislating works… it gets refined. And yes, I welcome the feedback. As my #1 fan @basedMikeLee can tell you, we are on the 3rd(?) version of the SAVE America Act because small changes to text actually have big implications. Most bills are amended along the way.
Wall Street Mav@WallStreetMav

@RepMariaSalazar I read it. Sec. 2303(d) basically blocks all deportations by ICE. x.com/WallStreetMav/…

My boomer uncle paid for college working summers at a gas station. $1,200 a semester. Graduated debt free. Bought a house at 24. Told my cousin last Christmas: “You kids just don’t want to work hard enough.” She works two jobs. Has $67,000 in student loans, for a state school. Here’s the math he won’t do: His gas station job in 1974 paid $2.10/hour. >Minimum wage today is $7.25. >Tuition has gone up 1,400%. >His wages went up 3x. >Her debt went up 14x. He didn’t work harder. The math just worked for him. It doesn’t work anymore.

Divorce rates are high in this generation for just one reason, women today have stopped normalising physical and mental abuse post marriage. In past cheating, emotional trauma and abandonment weren’t considered a thing but now these are unacceptable. Other factors are secondary.
Levi@LeviiAckerman98

Divorce rates are high in this generation for one simple reason. People don't understand what marriage actually is. Social media made everyone believe there's always someone better out there, a richer man, a prettier woman, a more exciting life, but comparison kills loyalty.

I'm struggling and I hate it. All of my stress boils down to financial and I don't know what more I can do. I need to increase my income by $500 at least, every month, otherwise I start every week in the hole. And that's just necessities, food water gas. I literally don't buy anything else. I don't buy clothes, I don't buy frivolous things, the only vice in my life is coffee. I have 3 set bills a month and otherwise it's just a constant juggle of food, water, gas. I had gotten to where I could afford an entire week of existence at a time. Now I'm back down to about 3-4 days thanks to the price of gas.

Immigration brings out strong passions. Good. It should. Because it affects every single American. But before echoing the noise, look at the facts. The Dignity Act is clear: NO path to citizenship. NO federal benefits. Criminals get deported- NO MERCY. Instead, you come forward, you admit you broke the law, you pay the price. This is NOT a free pass… It is accountability. You’ve seen the facts. Now get it right.

There’s no such thing as “birthright citizenship for illegal aliens.” The U.S. Constitution is abundantly clear that if you are born in the United States, you are a citizen. Trying to take away citizenship from Americans is not only extreme, but also unconstitutional.
Senate Republicans@SenateGOP

Birthright citizenship for illegal aliens isn’t compassion—it’s a national security loophole. President Trump is closing it. Democrats are fighting to keep it wide open.

@FarmGirlCarrie Well I work in an industry that for the most part employs young women in the 20-30 year old range. We are going to have serious problems in 10 - 15 years when these people are needed to run things...they are incapable. I can only assume the young men are the same.

Warning to politicians on both sides of the aisle. I can guarantee that if you pass this bill, or ANY bill that gives ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS any sort of amnesty. It WILL be a tipping point in America. We've had enough, we know you don't care about us anymore. This will enrage people.

NEW: We talked to an NYC millionaire who wants Kathy Hochul to tax him more. He said he "wouldn't even notice" a tax increase, especially since he already got a break in the Big Beautiful Bill. Taxing the rich wouldn't change his life much—but it would help millions of people.

A boomer bought a house in 1978 for $58,000. Did nothing. Lived in it. Watched TV. Mowed the lawn. Sold it in 2022 for $620,000. That $562,000 didn't appear from nowhere. It came from every millennial and Gen Z buyer who had to pay what the market became. One generation's windfall is another generation's barrier to entry.
