๐ŸคฃThis is a hilarious montage of Chuck Norris jokes. If you think about it, he really was the first 80โ€™s action hero and pretty much started the genre of 80โ€™s and 90โ€™s action movies.

@wagslane So very true... Not to mention relatively cheap used computer hardware and ubiquitous Internet. You can literally learn almost anything if you put in the effort. Definitely a truth of the Internet age beyond AI.

Any good course isn't about gatekeeping knowledge Knowledge hasn't been gatekept since waaaaaaay before AI The Internet was the magic technology that broke that barrier
Het Mehta@hetmehtaa

You paid $500 for that cybersecurity bootcamp/course. Claude teaches you the same concepts better, faster, and answers your specific questions. The bootcamp's moat was 'we gatekeep knowledge.' AI broke the gate. Why would anyone pay for courses anymore?

I've noticed certain times of the day are dramatically worse than others... Late afternoon into early evening in the West US in particular. Things get slower... Also the more nuanced your UI desires, the worse the AI results.. when using a relatively popular component library.

The trap with AI is itโ€™s hard to predict when it would be faster to do myself.

While true, that's a very far positive from me being, "Wrong !!!" First, you're going to need a particularly particularly egregious crime committed by a minor who is likely akin to a literal demon spawn combined with a prosecutor that is driven enough to want a minor dead combined with the political points to be able to take such a case to the Supreme Court... Which is pretty unlikely. So, until something like that happens, I am very much correct.

@tracker1 @PaulKeitzke @ElonMuskNews47 This will be overturned and it only takes one case to do this. One case that a State sentencing the death penalty and appealed to SCOTUS will do it just like ROE v Wade.

The Supreme Court categorically banned the death penalty for crimes committed while the person was under 18 in Roper v. Simmons (2005). The Court held that executing individuals for crimes committed as minors violates the Eighth Amendment's prohibition on cruel and unusual punishment, regardless of how the case is prosecuted or whether the minor was tried as an adult.

New standard for http API errors... Meant to help agents, but probably useful for all http based API route slices... I generally try to normalize my error results anyway so this is useful. Though I would usually return a single json object with an error attribute that contains the error to aid parsing and detection... Which this spec doesn't, instead relying on the return content type header. rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc9457

I built the original Replit to help me stay in a constant flow, because Iโ€™m easily distracted and traditional coding environments were too slow. I fell in love with REPLs, a type of environment thatโ€™s iterative and fast, and thought all of coding should feel this way. Fast forward to when we introduced Agent in 2024, which was a huge breakthrough in building software, but it introduced something that really pained me: it was slow. All agent environments are slow because you put in a prompt and set around waiting for the agent to finish working. With Agent 4 we brought back the spirit of REPL: speed + flow. But itโ€™s even better than single-turn REPLs because you can parallelize your work seamlessly. And continue to design and brainstorm the next feature of your app while your agent builds.

I was showing my wife something on my macbook at the weekend. Told her to "right click" on the trackpad. She had no idea what I was talking about. Asked a friend that came over too and was met with the same confusion. Having an existential crisis. Does no one use right click?!?

@tracker1 @aurelianbasa @dmcgco Thatโ€™s cool, I was just clarifying that the Apple mouse has single right click it just isnโ€™t enabled by default. Since your post said it didnโ€™t have it. Glad you enjoy your set up, I also use a PC mouse or two finger on track pad. Magic Mouse is no fun ergonomically.

@jasonwist @dmcgco Mac mice don't have a second button or a wheel... They do have a surface to scroll or two finger click though. I always used PC mice with Mac though... Didn't like clicking on scroll as it almost always unintentionally scrolls.

No, a lot of people don't... Especially Mac uses... I'm fact Mac mice didn't even have a right click ability for a long time... You had to press a keyboard let while clicking and nobody used it. You could use a PC mouse and it worked. Doing rely on right click, especially on Mac.

@twitter @elonmusk For context, I started online in the late BBS and early internet days, where online group chats were far more active and flowing than you tend to see today... you'd either learn to type and read fast or you'd get left behind.

@twitter @elonmusk I'm on a Linux desktop currently and having trouble replying to messages... I'm getting a message that my post/reply looks to be automated... I'm literally typing it into the web UI... maybe you should add event tracking for keyboard events and timing as part of your detection to reduce this as a false positive? Also, I type very fast.

I think we need a "stand your ground" self defense act for all federal employees to override any local ordinance requiring a person to flee. That would probably correct the issue quickly enough. Though it'd be nice if applied to all... but I'd start with the military or all federal employees.
