even if i’m wrong a lot, as long as i’m right more often than i’m wrong, it works. one big win erases all the losses. nobody really cares. more experiments should be done. accelerate progressive overload.

2.5 weeks on the new Hyperliquid account. $38,000 profit. first time in a while locking in on perps and looking for new set ups daily, used to do this on gmx back in the day. not advocating for perps, but I am advocating for not feeding bundlers and multi-wallet scammers on memecoin new pairs all day. locked.

The single best way to break into the Hedge Fund industry — and most people still won't do it: Derek Pilecki, 18-year track record, 21%+ annualized in financials, entire net worth in his own fund. "Since we have the internet, there's a way to break into the industry that didn't exist in the nineties." "You can write up stock ideas. You can research how to write up a stock idea. You can write up your own idea and post it to Seeking Alpha or create your own blog, post it to Twitter." "If you do that 10 times, you'll have a following." "There'll be professional money managers who will read your blog because you wrote up 10 small cap stocks and they own one or two of them." "They read your idea on this bank. They agreed with you. Now they wanna see what other banks you like." "You can find a job that way by just writing up stock ideas and posting them to the internet." "You can break into this industry if you're willing to do that work on your own and put yourself out there." You can just write up 10 stock ideas.

This guy beat the market for 17 straight years trading a sector many investors have written off post-2008 Derek Pilecki (@gatorcapital) runs a financials-only fund. 21%+ annualized. His edge? A corner of the market many investors moved away from after the GFC. We cover: - Why he expanded from 25 → 40 positions and returns went UP - His counterintuitive rule: buy higher, not lower (positions get LESS risky as they rise) - The Robinhood call — bought late 2023, rode it to a multibagger - Why he's quietly watching FactSet, Morningstar & Verisk right now - His view on private credit risk (and why he disagrees with Jamie Dimon) - How he uses AI to analyze more stocks without losing his edge - Why markets chronically underreact to good news — and how to exploit it - The brutal career reality no one tells young PMs about Highlights: 00:00 Intro 01:06 Derek's +21% annualized return track record 02:50 Fundamental business change vs market noise in Robinhood 05:25 Portfolio construction: Concentration limits and adding to winners 09:09 Sourcing alpha and identifying three-year doubles in financials 12:44 Developing edge through repetition and management team cycles 14:16 Why the post-GFC regime fundamentally changed bank underwriting 17:07 Assessing tail risk and leverage in the private credit market 21:23 AI-driven market dispersion and identifying moaty businesses 24:11 Why shareholder base turnover matters for timing broken charts 29:37 Integrating AI into fundamental research and SEC filing analysis 35:39 Risk management: Permanent capital loss vs mark-to-market volatility 37:12 Capacity constraints: Optimizing for returns over AUM scale 50:39 Career risk and the reality of active money management

NO FOCKING MARKETING. I’ve been thinking for a while about what Hyperliquid could achieve if they had a marketing department. But every time I go down that path, I end up realizing the same thing: • a great product doesn’t need marketing • the team isn’t interested in attracting “low-quality users” – they want people who reach the conclusion themselves: there is no second best in this space • platform metrics keep growing because execution is top-tier, execution > marketing • the project has built relationships with its community that no one else can match • the community is Hyperliquid’s marketing While others are desperate to boost activity and spend millions to buy attention, the house of finance is being built with zero funding and zero paid promotion. As Jeff once said: “You are welcome to trade elsewhere.” But every path leads back to Hyperliquid.

i reached out to the hl team with a marketing proposal related to my project they replied: “hyperliquid does not do marketing” that blew my mind just imagine what would happen to the $HYPE price if they started doing marketing

in the coming years, a kid will launch a vault, grow it to hundreds of millions in assets under management, and bloomberg will publish a story about a 15-year-old running a hedge fund out of his parents basement only possible on hyperliquid

Hypurr NFT at ATL. Insanity? The native Hyperliquid NFT collection, directly tied to Jeff (he created 16 unique Hypurrs) – remains criminally undervalued. Floor is 393 $HYPE – an ATL in token terms. What’s behind the collection? • Holders have received and will continue to receive a share of ecosystem airdrops • Potential additional utility, such as reduced trading fees • A hidden season that could bring a drop or multiplier in the next cycle Out of 4,600 NFTs, only 4% (184) are listed. For comparison, CryptoPunks have 10.6% listed (1,055 out of 10,000). That says everything about conviction. Hypurr NFTs are one of the most mispriced art bets in the space. Purring louder, fam!
