generally, building for degens does work they're trading oil, gold, private companies, ai stocks and collectibles now; build the right products for them, and they will come back to you all of these things will eventually be onchain in size, and crypto will become less cyclical

Early $MEGA price action suggests that building for the degen crowd doesn’t work. Sad. The narrative has shifted from retail degens to institutions. Degens are rekt, bearish, or unwilling to deploy capital. The only degen retail narratives showing strength are privacy and pre-IPO perps but even those are related to institutional adoption. Things can still turn around but degens must feel they can EARN money on MegaETH. Haven't seen viral rags to riches stories yet.

However, you could be directionally correct and still get stopped out by volatile PA Options allow you to be directionally correct while avoiding any volatile PA within the contract term, although there's an expiration date to consider Some very exciting things our risk engine enables with undercollateralised options that are worth exploring once perps is fully built out Larger, more risk adverse capital is more comfortable with options, and with the direction of perps moving more towards RWAs/Commodities, not considering options would be naive

actually believe that more people are sidelined on this $HYPE move than prior uptrends this current uptrend ppl are scarred by crypto bear markets & by BTC & ETH showing weakness consistently, it would be very anomalous for a cryptocurrency to make new all time highs while everything else is in the gutters, so think a lot of people are waiting for bitcoin to put in a lower low to buy in size & don't think they've allocated aggressively during this move up believe that bottom was put in when hyperliquid stayed > $20 while bitcoin went to $60k from $80k, & that we've actually onboarded a lot more tradfi capital past few months who have seen the protocol's trading volumes of stocks and commodities keep increasing, while crypto regulatory environment continues to improve in Washington DC with Clarity Act progression people will chase buying spot if it holds > $50 & we will see price discovery at the same time as SpaceX IPO is happening IMO
