NEWS: The European Parliament's Internal Market and Civil Liberties committees voted 101-9 to amend the AI Act with a ban on AI nudifier systems, citing Grok as the prime example of the harms driving the regulatory shift. The proposed ban would cover AI systems that generate explicit images resembling real people without consent, but would exempt platforms with effective safety measures blocking such outputs. Bloomberg described it as the first EU policy to specifically target AI platforms for producing non-consensual sexual material.
