Q: Did you post that picture of yourself depicted as Jesus Christ? TRUMP: I did post it and I thought it was me as a doctor and had to do Red Cross. Only the fake news could come up with that one.

@MaltesersUK well this was a bit sad. Our Easter egg was completely missing the pack of Maltesers promised to be within.

I hope Trump charges Europe a U.S. toll for any crude or LNG that passes through the strait they were too lazy and cowardly to help reopen.

I seriously believe that there will be no General Election as this government will involve the UK in a war in order to cancel it. They won’t want all their hard work in destroying this country undone. Does anyone else think the same?

Thanks to very many on the centre-right, the sovereignty of Chagos is saved. Next let’s save the UK from socialism.
Steven Swinford@Steven_Swinford

EXCLUSIVE Sir Keir Starmer has been forced to drop legislation which would cede sovereignty of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius in a further deterioration of relations with Donald Trump The Times has been told that a bill underpinning the controversial deal will not be included in the King's Speech next month after the US president branded it an "act of great stupidity" and withdrew his support The government stands by the deal and will attempt to persuade Trump to change his mind but has acknowledged that it cannot proceed without his backing Ministers are "deeply frustrated" with Trump, who initially supported the deal after extensive discussions between intelligence agencies but changed his mind during a dispute with Nato over plans to seize Greenland The government believes that it puts the future of Diego Garcia, the UK-US base in the islands which has been used during the Iran war, at risk It is concerned that Mauritius will mount a legal challenge granting it access to the waters around Diego Garcia, making it harder for the base to host nuclear submarines and patrol surrounding waters The deal was highly contentious. It would have seen Britain hand over the islands to Mauritius before immediately entering into a 99-year lease for Diego Garcia. The government claimed it would cost £3.5billion, although the Tories disputed this and said it would cost £35billion his over its lifetime. thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

Another Labour u-turn thanks to relentless work in Parliament from the Conservatives.

The Chagos deal is dead and good riddance. It was a strategic blunder from the start by this Labour government and a disaster waiting to happen. Many of us warned the government but they simply refused to listen, now they will have to make another humiliating U-turn. telegraph.co.uk/politics/2026/… Perhaps those close to the government who made very tidy sums promoting this disastrous deal might now consider donating some of those earnings to the Chagossian people whose interests were so often overlooked in the process.

I've never used self checkout. Ever. And I never will. Today in Aldi, there was only one person at self checkout and people queuing to use the manned checkouts. When will shops realise the majority of people don't want self checkouts?

Finally. Starmer’s dodgy Chagos Bill deserves its place in the dustbin. The Conservatives led the fight against it from day one. Why did Starmer want to hand over British sovereign territory and pay £35 billion to use a crucial military base that was already ours?

Starmer’s Chagos surrender deal should never have been on the table in the first place. Handing over British territory and paying billions to lease it back was indefensible. @Conservatives have fought this every step of the way. 🇬🇧🇮🇴.

🗼WELL I NEVER🗼 Would you believe that Ray and June, who won the Reform UK energy bills prize, go back all the way to the Brexit Party with Farage? Here they are with Farage, Widdecombe and Bull [a truly awful supernatural detective thriller]. What a coincidence [increasingly unlikely] h/t, and thanks to @linfitlass for pointing this out to me. These images are from a Brexit Party rally in Fylde on the 4th May 2019. [credit Getty Images I believe, but Google for me].

@docblock66 @whippetchariots @AmazonUK It’s not broken or unusable it just will no longer have access to buy more product. How many people do you see walking around with computers or phones from pre 2013. The kindle is a smart device also it ages. It’s unreasonable to expect a company to support a 14 year old device.

@bleckwith23058 @docblock66 @AmazonUK I’m not sure if you’ve read the whole information. You won’t be able to download any new books. Surely the whole point of an e reader. Plus if at any point you have to reset the device it won’t work again.
