2 x B-52 low over Fairford this morning before coming into land 🛬 Both departed yesterday afternoon

With all the hysteria around Fairford the past week, refreshing to see one of our resident U-2s out and about again🐲 Heading back this evening as the sun setting 🛬

@GrumpyMcDave B-52s are 27 end. Parking limited but you can park on Washpool Lane if space and I’ve seen gates to the bomb dump open but i don’t know if allowing people to park there. B-1s mostly down 09 end but spots most go to are coned off/harder to park at. Dunfield is coned off fully

@window_planes Hi, thinking of popping over from Glos to Fairford to have a look and see if I can get any pics of anything tomorrow. Any advice on best place to go for best chance?

@window_planes @CirenStreets @scan_sky I always emplore people to park legally and not cause damage. I've had first hand experience where even that isn't good enough and had nasty notes left on the car. Maybe it's time the council set up a dedicated parking area such as lakenheath have.

@mrcjstevens @CirenStreets @scan_sky That post is a bit extreme I agree. But as someone who lives very close to base it’s less entitlement I think but more frustration. Those of us close to base are used to and expect noise, bit of disruption but some people don’t give a toss frankly with how they drive and act

@CirenStreets @scan_sky The breathtaking sense of entitlement from "locals" has been the issue here. I suggest they all move into padded cells if they don't like living next to a base. Police are not checking papers and turning you away! If you park legally an don't cause an obstruction go for it

@window_planes @Saint1Mil Some people can’t read and think they are above the law. Ruin it for the rest of us. Had one down 09 end today who drove through the barriers and caused the police and angry locals to show up 😡

⛔️ To anyone planing to visit RAF Fairford in the coming days, be aware parking restrictions have now been put in place around the base (fines issued to some). Similar restrictions to that of RIAT after some careless parking/behaviour/near miss collisions the past few days ⛔️

@UncleSamOSINT @Saint1Mil And they do! A few years ago now I opened up spaces for arrivals/departures for RIAT and even then some people act and talk to you like an idiot. Like someone said here, the actions of a few ruin for all
