Every dating app sorts profiles by how attractive people are. Across big gaps in looks, people agree. Inside a range, where you're actually picking, people stop agreeing at all. The algorithm is great at telling a 9 from a 5. It's useless at telling one 7 from another. And one 7 from another is what dating actually is.
