Bruno Marchand en profite pour me comparer à un alcoolique. 3 petits rappels: 1) cette attaque basse et personnelle n’a AUCUN rapport avec la coupe des arbres. Et, je vous rassure, j’ai bien des défauts, mais pas celui de boire sur une base quotidienne, ni en grande quantité. 2) c’est plus que décevant, de la part d’un ex-dirigeant de Centraide, un organisme qui accompagne les personnes qui vivent justement des problèmes de dépendance, de véhiculer de tels préjugées. 3) lorsqu’en mai 2023, un animateur avait lancé une blague pour savoir si un Wax Pen (vapoteuse à cannabis) traîne dans le bureau du maire, Bruno Marchand avait exigé des excuses et menacé de poursuites. Pourquoi ce deux poids, deux mesures? Répondre aux insultes du maire par d’autres insultes ne règlera pas le problème de coupe inutile d’arbres. This clip is exactly why we're losing our way in Canada. A law professor pushing MAID for mental illness so people 'don't commit suicide on their own'? That's not compassion, it's giving up on folks who need real help, real treatment, and real hope. We've got people in the Peace suffering from depression, addiction, and isolation, and the answer isn't a government-provided exit. Fix the mental health system, invest in care, and protect the vulnerable instead of making death the default. Enough with this deadly shortcut.
