I voted for President Trump three times, and I’d gladly do so again. That said, I have a sincere, question about something I’m genuinely trying to understand. If the U.S. is energy independent, why are gas prices spiking again? They are getting close to the highs we saw under Biden? I know tensions with Iran are playing a role right now, but I thought energy independence was supposed to shield us from these kinds of swings. Can someone explain what’s driving this? I’m not here to criticize Trump, just looking for a clear explanation. Thanks.

I’m not sure how much longer Americans are going to handle rising prices… I can say with certainty that: My gasoline bill has doubled My electrical bill increased significantly Rent still hasn’t come down/stabilized Interest rates are still sky-high Meat/groceries are unaffordable Health insurance premiums rising again Home prices are outrageous & rising Car prices are still outrageous and rising And the wild part is that nobody seems to be doing anything to fix a single problem…

You can eat the same here in the states - that you don't is your own laziness. I make my own bread. I buy farm to table - I eat fresh vegetables and fruit - I make my own pasta takes all of 20 min including cleanup - and I can make different flavors. Bread is about same of prep time and I can add whatever I want to that as well. Let's do this - Let's STOP blaming others for our own laziness - and STOP expecting everyone else to do what we are too damn lazy to do ourselves. I just spent 2 incredible weeks in Italy and it is so frustrating to come back to the U.S… How is it possible @RobertKennedyJr that the Italian food supply is so vastly superior. I literally ate bread at every meal, dessert multiple times per day, and generally ate way more than I do in the U.S. Not once did I have acid reflux. Not one headache, no digestive problems, and I didn’t gain any weight. If I ate the same way in the U.S. (I used to at times) I would have gone through a full bottle of Tums and Advil just to get through the day… WHY does the U.S. allow glyphosate in wheat, high fructose corn syrup in food and who knows what in our milk products? The difference in quality of life in Italy vs the U.S. is staggering from their common sense (anti corporate) food regulation. WHY aren’t more people upset about this? The U.S. is the richest country in the world and we eat like one of the poorest.
