🚨 [PLEASE READ] My thoughts on the latest @BagsApp update & what it means for @brainblast_ai + $BRAIN: I’ll be honest, the new update is a disappointing one. I have a lot of respect for @finnbags for pioneering the creator fee rewards model, but the new “SpaceX” mode pushes some of the worst token qualities that the industry spent years learning from & rebuking. Low float, high FDV tokens have notoriously rekt retail traders. They were often big projects with big VC backing. As people learned the hard way, buying into something with an inflated market cap with 90%+ of the supply waiting to be released onto the market almost never worked out for traders. Idk why Bags adopted this model. I understand the whole SpaceX IPO, but that’s SpaceX (with @elonmusk as CEO); an anomaly possible only because Elon is the CEO, the IPO was highly anticipated for over a year, for a company that leads the world (#1) in space tech. No project launched on Bags, or any other launchpad, can compare to SpaceX & Elon. ——————————————————— In the short time since the update launched: • $TRILLY pushed by Finn (after he bought): > Supply: 4% float > FDV = $2.2M > Liquidity (Meteora) = 1% of FDV > True Market Cap ≈ $88k > Liquidity/trading depth is just $22k >> $TRILLY = Traders paying for an $2.2M asset that’s really only worth $88k… It’s 100% retarded, and not in the cool @SolJakey way; it’s actually retarded. • Fees have been reduced: > This hurts builders (like me) > This hurts token economies (like $BRAIN) • A $100k prize for $10M (SpaceX Mode) token. > This drives attention away from projects > Trading volume mainly benefits memes ——————————————————— Unfortunately, the founder-focused angle that made @BagsApp special (and valuable for founders) has swiftly been placed in the back seat for the sake of a gimmick. Combine that with the stalled state of the @BagsHackathon (all I see are other founders posting/asking for updates & receiving silence in return), and it’s hard to justify building on Bags, which is a shame. Bags is trying to compete with @Pumpfun when they should be focusing on builders. They’ll never beat Pump fun as a meme coin launchpad, but they could have won the founder launchpad battle. If they don’t correct course, there’s a good chance this is the beginning of a slow end for the platform. ——————————————————— Something will have to change. Currently, unless things changed fast, to stay on @BagsApp would also mean a slow death. @brainblast_ai is great tech. The $BRAIN token economy is solid. But if you build something great & solid on empty clouds, then it will fall from the sky & come crashing down nonetheless. ——————————————————— No matter what comes next, I can promise this: it will be glorious for $BRAIN holders. To all the brainblasters who have supported the project to this point, it’s about time we all blastoff to new heights. My advice (don’t get upset later if you don’t follow it): hold & continue to acquire $BRAIN as we lean into the next chapter. You will be rewarded.
