Some guys are so focused on outward masculinity that it becomes feminine. When there is constant grooming, obsession with clothes, perfectionism in signaling and setting a masculine stage, and posturing in all scenarios as outwardly strong and masculine, there is something preening and glam about it.

@Chaser20081 @OrthoComics @MikeWingerii I feel like you're not listening to anything I've said but if you reread what I have said about the true church so far then let me ask you what you think my answer would be?

@Chaser20081 @OrthoComics @MikeWingerii I do not believe that the CURRENT expression of the true church at any given time can be corrupted, but generations once revived pass away and their successors often do not carry the Spirit in the same way their forebears did

@Chaser20081 @OrthoComics @MikeWingerii ... Whose expression changes over the ages, sometimes being more manifest in 1 movement, and other times more present in others. I believe the catholic church fully embraced corruption systemically in the middle ages. But corruption still existed on pockets within prior to that

@Chaser20081 @OrthoComics @MikeWingerii The TRUE church cannot, but the true church isn't an institution but is the ecclesia, the collection of the true saints connected not through structure or institutional walls but by the indwelling Spirit of God. However, that body is a living, moving one...

@Chaser20081 @OrthoComics @MikeWingerii Here's my problem with the interpretation that says the "church" cannot host corruption: scripture clearly predicts a great falling away towards the very end that's called the "apostasy". To fall away implies that at one point they were not fallen. This is very basic theology

@Chaser20081 @OrthoComics @MikeWingerii I never said they were all completely corrupt. Honestly this conversation took up way too much time and I apparently didn't take it as serious as some who were commenting but if you read what I actually said, you won't find me saying that it was completely corrupt at all

@JayAshford7 @OrthoComics @MikeWingerii I'm neither a pope nor a god, I'm simply a man who believes what's written and does his best to obey it, imperfectly. The apostasy is what has been foretold, the great falling away. I'm less concerned with man listening to my words and more concerned that God does.

@alliecat_103 @parousia70 @OrthoComics @MikeWingerii No I'm not, I'm referring back to your comment on Daniel 2. We've referenced many things, so you'll have to forgive me if I jump around a little. "kingdom" doesn't refer solely to the church. Those who endure till the end will inherit the kingdom. We haven't even inherited it yet

@alliecat_103 @parousia70 @OrthoComics @MikeWingerii "That phrase" is called "telescoping" and yes I am familiar and no telescoping has zero effect on how we interpret "kingdom" in the text and in no way should we narrow the context to only be applied to the eastern orthodox church

@OrthoBroGeorg @OrthoComics @elect4apurpose @MikeWingerii That's awesome and I'm happy for you! There are many genuine followers of Christ within all churches. So long as you're not worshipping female deity under the guise of the virgin Mary, or praying to the disembodied dead instead of the risen Messiah...

@0JasonMichael0 @OrthoComics @elect4apurpose @MikeWingerii I can go to any orthodox church and commune with my brothers and sisters there. We are members of the same Body. We share the same dogmatic Faith, whose preservation is one of the biggest miracles. In the west there are orthodox liturgies for all the jurisdictions to join btw.

@OrthoBroGeorg @OrthoComics @elect4apurpose @MikeWingerii Last straw? Like I said before, and i mean it, I'm genuinely not trying. I'm watching guntube videos on YouTube and hardly paying attention to you. Do you want me to actually try? You think God cares more about chants then the posture of the heart? Do you strain or a gnat but...

@JasonFrodge @OrthoComics @MikeWingerii The church to you, as I understand it, is a centralized organization that is limited to your personal preferred expression of worship and doctrine that claims continuation from the early apostles, which most churches that differ from you would also claim.

@JasonFrodge @OrthoComics @MikeWingerii It's centralized around internal union with the Spirit of Christ but it's decentralized in that is expands through man made rules and walls and can never nor ever will be contained by them. Human built centralization is nothing more than an attempt to control God

@0JasonMichael0 @OrthoComics @MikeWingerii It is not decentralized nor abstract. It has function and hierarchy. It is the physical representation of Christ as His Body. It is not nor has it ever been corrupted. You think it was corrupted within 10 years. Maybe YOU have a false idea of the Church. x.com/0jasonmichael0…
Jason Smedley@0JasonMichael0

@OrthoComics @MikeWingerii I never said that, I simply pointed out things that happened and reflected that corruption can happen in 10 years, let alone 300. Also, the church Mike calls out actually looks a lot more like the last image in that cheesy cartoon than the first ones. Weird take

@OrthoBroGeorg @OrthoComics @elect4apurpose @MikeWingerii No it wouldn't. Not sure if you've noticed but I'm not even trying right now. I don't care about this because I'm not even sure what we're arguing about? Is your point that I don't chant or think that bread turns into Christ's human meat when it enters my stomach?
