@AmanAdwin I love yelling fuck (insert political party) when I'm upset about something with zero relevance to said party. Why do people make politics their whole personality? I care about your political stance as much as I care to see your stupid ass kids photos

My parents married when my dad was 19 and my mom was 15. They’ve been very happily married for 61 years. They are best friends. They raised 4 very happy & healthy children who are thriving with their own families. We all like to give my dad a hard time about robbing the cradle. But dating within a few years regardless if over/under 18 is much different than guys in even their 20’s+ dating a teenager.

This poor Italian exchange student Alessandro is living every authentic Italian’s nightmare… His American host mom is so excited to take him to Olive Garden for “real Italian food” that she’s literally singing: “How excited are we? Olive Garden! It’s the moment everybody’s been waiting for!” 😂 The second they pull up you can see the mild horror on his face and he playfully refuses to get out of the car. He straight-up suggests McDonald’s instead, but they’re not letting him escape. You can tell he’s questioning every life choice that led him to this moment… but he’s still a good sport about it. Culture clash gold at its finest. Part 2 drops tomorrow (Wednesday) and Part 3 on Thursday — stay tuned for more! 😂

Alabama airman and father of 3, Major Alex Klinner, identified as one of the six Americans who was killed when a KC-135 crashed in Iraq. Klinner was a father to a two-and-a-half-year-old and seven-month-old twins. His wife, Libby, posted the following on Instagram: “On March 12, our world shattered. Alex and his crew were on the plane that crashed in Iraq. I'm devastated to lose the best person I know, the person that made everything more fun, my best friend. But even more so, my heart is broken for our three kids who will grow up not knowing him. They won't get to see firsthand the way he would jump up to help in any way he could. They won't see how goofy and funny he was. They won't witness his selflessness, the way he thought about everyone else before himself. They won't get to feel the deep love he had for them. He was an incredible person and husband, but he was the best dad. It still doesn't feel real. I keep thinking that I'll get a text from him saying 'Sorry honey! Didn't mean to scare you' and everything will be alright. Because Alex always made everything alright. We just moved to a new home and we had so many exciting plans in the next few years. Now we are left to navigate the void left in our hearts. Thank you to everyone who has reached out. Your words mean more than you know. These are some of the last photos we have together before he deployed. He was crushed that he had to leave us. I'Il forever remember this heartbreaking goodbye.” I am linking the GoFundMe below that was launched by Klinner’s sister-in-law, Sarah Rose Harrill. Heartbreaking. Videos: libbyklinnerteaching / ig.

@Oliverwdouglass @newstart_2024 @grok @grok is this Twitter user a bot? A real human would know what he was referring to by reading the tweet and its context. They would know that there wasn't a tragedy in his life (unless having your kids grow up is a tragedy). I'd say not having them grow up as a far bigger tragedy

Bob Odenkirk drops a heartbreakingly beautiful truth on Mike Birbiglia: “Who are you jealous of?” “Anybody who’s still got little kids at home growing up. No question.” He explains: When his kids were young, he knew exactly who he was every single day. “I didn’t have to ask myself, ‘What am I doing here? How can I be meaningful today?’ The answer was simple: Pick up everything between here and the door, make sure they get to school, have a laugh with them. You absolutely know who you are. You’re a dad.” The quiet ache of purpose fulfilled—and now missed. Hits hard for anyone who’s been there (or wishes they were). Dads (and moms) who’ve had that phase: Does this resonate? Parents still in the thick of it: Do you feel that clarity every day?

Passing is wild sometimes. A guy hanging putside of the women's bathroom asked me to tell him if a girl was in there, I go in, a girl IMMEDIATELY stares at me and wordless shakes her head. I nod, check in with the girl. Use the restroom. Then I go tell a target lady about it

The slap wasn’t in the script at all Ryan improvised it in the heat of the moment to amp up the intensity. He joked first with He had it coming, then got real: No, it was actually horrible. I didn’t mean to do it. It wasn’t hard or anything. He looked up like he just won the lottery. It was just so cool to him. And I look over and the script supervisor’s crying, and I’m trying to apologize to her. I don’t know what’s happening.

The motive appears to be using the 2018 BJS NCVS data (raw victim-reported counts) to counter the implied narrative in the original post: that "white nationalists" represent a major ongoing threat or "supremacy crisis" driving violence. The chart shows black-on-white incidents (~548k) dwarf white-on-black (~60k), so it argues the data doesn't support white nationalism as a dominant factor in interracial crime patterns.

The 2018 BJS NCVS table (victim-reported violent incidents) shows raw interracial crime counts, not hate crimes or ideology. It gets cited in these debates to highlight demographic patterns in overall violence (e.g., higher black-on-white volume vs. reverse, per capita), countering claims that "white supremacy" drives a unique crisis in U.S. crime. White nationalism isn't a BJS-tracked category—it's unrelated to this dataset. Hate crime stats (FBI) are separate and show race bias ~50% of incidents, mostly anti-Black.

BJS does not track or publish stats on "white nationalism" (an ideology, not a crime category). Their NCVS hate crime victimization data focuses on victim-perceived bias motivations. Latest report covers 2005-2019: race/ethnicity bias drove ~59% of violent hate crimes in 2015-19 (anti-Black most common among those). No BJS hate crime reports exist after 2019. Their law enforcement-recorded hate crimes also stop at 2019. For current FBI UCR (2024): 11,679 incidents, race bias ~50%.
