They don’t see words, they see everything as numbers and they are doing some math to predict what would be the next number to come next. There isn’t any thought behind it, which an AGI would do. No shoving more data into an LLM solves that.

Using GNOME as a default desktop environment for your distro is just asking to filter new users. It is an objective downgrade in usability for people coming from Windows or Mac. KDE is the most feature-complete desktop environment. 99% of users will have everything they need to feel comfortable.

Since Canonical keeps making anti-Linux decisions, it's getting ridiculous. They are forcing Snaps on everything (even Firefox via apt), spam terminal with Ubuntu Pro ads, and the Snap Store keeps letting malware through. This isn't the Ubuntu we loved anymore. It's turning corporate. Time to switch. I am planning to go with fedora or something else

@skibidilawyer @spinelessaisha Iirc you can make it install stuff in your /home instead of /var/lib. Add --user flag during installation. Other than that, installing apps on an external drive will complicate things. You'd be better off with appimages.

For those wondering why GE-Proton is later than usual this month -- I've been re-working the video stack for better video playback. This means gutting gstreamer, redirecting quartz to use winedmo, and converting everything related to use the winedmo->ffmpeg backend.

my pipeline was like ubuntu -> manjaro w kde -> kde neon -> fedora w kde -> arch w kde and i3wm as substitute when I'm bored lol. using this same setup for the past 2 yrs and had almost none or v minor ui bugs and never ever crashed. smth that was v diff w my gnome exp also the design philosophy, community standards and other shit run by the gnome team is equally awfully these guys don't deserve human rights fr
