Wrench attacks are still climbing in 2026 and they have nothing to do with your keys.
Criminals skip the technical side entirely and go straight for the person, with threats, coercion, physical force until you hand over access yourself. Analysts found roughly 45% of reported attack frequency tracks directly with market cap, so as prices rise, so does the violence.
Reduce your exposure: keep your public identity separate from your holdings, split day-to-day funds from long-term storage, and audit what's out there with your name attached to it.

@flipdazed if you dont mind taking a minute for questions-
can you fill in some gaps for me? understanding that there is usually an OTC partner, atomic settlement, and / or external liquidity usually needed, who benefits the most from the new way of doing things and why?
English

How we [un]wind RWAs without any OTC liquidity.
We got kind of into the atomic vibes.

Thanks to the quick actions of @Blockaid_, @0xGroomLake, @_SEAL_Org, and @FTIConsulting, the attacks were mitigated quickly.
Within 2 minutes of the first known malicious transaction, major wallets such as Metamask and Coinbase Wallet were displaying warnings.

Why is the U.S. gov still liquidating bitcoin when @POTUS explicitly directed these assets be preserved for our Strategic Bitcoin Reserve? We can’t afford to squander these strategic assets while other nations are accumulating bitcoin. I’m deeply concerned about this report.
Frank Corva@frankcorva
🚨NEW: It seems that the SDNY/DOJ has sold the bitcoin that the Samourai devs paid it as part of their plea deal even though Executive Order 14233 mandates that forfeited bitcoin be held in the U.S.’s Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. And this wasn’t the first time in the Samourai case that the SDNY acted in defiance of federal guidance. bitcoinmagazine.com/news/did-doj-p…

Today someone tried to honeypot me.
Very funny social engineering method going around to keep an eye out for if you are a founder raising funds or looking to begin this process.
A “managing partner” will reach out to you claiming they are part of a fund that typically writes checks between 250k-5m.
Then they’ll get you to join a call immediately with their “team” and encourage you to download some bogus crypto video conferencing app from one of their apparent portcos
This download will request root access to your terminal, if you download. GGs
Luckily I caught this discrepancy and alerted our incredible security partners @0xGroomLake, who shortly informed me this was a scam.
Always remain vigilant my friends, they want to catch you slipping.

What’s wild about the SR-71 is that it would leak fuel while sitting on the runway. It wasn’t designed to sit idle-it was built to move. At high speeds and high altitude, the airframe would expand from the heat, and the seams would seal themselves.
The plane only worked the way it was meant to when it was doing the job it was designed for

We’re back with a new round of Trap Academy workshops.
This time, it’s all about real examples, community discussions, and building better Traps together.
What’s new?
This season focuses on the 10 DeFi Automation Trap Examples recently shared by the Drosera team. The goal? Spark ideas, explore on-chain response functions, and inspire new Trap concepts from the community.
📅 The Schedule
Thursday, July 17 (10AM EST)
Workshop 1: Trap Examples Deep Dive - We’ll walk through all 10 DeFi Automation examples together. After the session, share an X post on which example stood out to you and how you might utilize the onchain response it triggers.
Friday, July 18 (10AM EST)
Workshop 2: Breaking Down Response Functions - We’ll discuss your favorite examples, focusing on the response logic and potential variations. Afterward, post your own unique Trap idea on X.
Tuesday, July 22 (10AM EST)
Workshop 3: Community Trap Ideas & Live Trap Building - We’ll spotlight your Trap ideas and dive into them in real-time. We might even generate some Trap code live with Claude, just to show how easy it is to vibe code your own creations.
In the meantime make sure you’re setup on Hoodi and caught up on season 1 by checking out the links below 👇

This has been a long time coming: we’ve refined and are about to fully implement the full underlying protocol for @multiplierfun.
Built by veterans from MangroveDAO, DFINITY, OlympusDAO, SUPRA Labs, Betsoft, and more.
We have onboarded 3rd party developers, are ready to gamify an upcoming T1 CEX IDO, and have deployed to provide value to some of the largest DeFi protocols in the space.
Our mission from day one has always been to invent a market microstructure primitive that harnesses entertainment to arrest liquidity leakage and amplify depth across the onchain liquidity stack.
Tldr == moving markets through entertainment.
What it is: A behavioral-liquidity layer that formalizes on-chain game mechanics into structured token demand. Fast-feedback gameplay meets an auction-driven curation engine: routing capital into curated tokens based on player outcomes and community coordination.
How it works:
• Stake-auction slots: Tokens earn visibility not via emissions, but by winning dynamic, stake-based auctions
• Composable SDK primitives: Developers launch custom games on shared liquidity with minimal integration.
• Self-reinforcing flywheels: Buy-pressure loops where market movements feed back into player incentives.
Our thesis is that hypergamblification and hypergamification will take over the vast majority of retail trading over the next few years.
Those initial ripples will happen onchain before a Cambrian explosion that will impact all retail trading.

Been getting a lot of DMs about @0xGroomLake involvement in the @movementlabsxyz investigation.
What's more important is to understand what we do for protocols when things go sideways - and how we prevent it.
