How much risk per trade should you use?
Personally I use this risk of ruin tool: cashbackforex.com/tools/risk-of-…
- enter stats for your trading edge
- enter the max DD for your account
- 1000 'number of trades'
- adjust risk per trade until peak to valley <5%

4) Audit it to ensure you stuck to the rules and didn’t miss any trades
5) Export the results and run optimizations. See if tweaks to entry, SL, & TP improve profitability more than they reduce the win rate
6) Compare with forward test for reasonability (most recent 1-3 months)
