Expect the $1.64 per $1 on bribes ratio to move closer to $1 over the next weeks.
So theoretically bribes per $vlCVX could go up from $0.13 to $0.21 assuming similar price.
But likely CVX price will go up in meantime.

- No more UST bribes so profitability has taken a short-term hit
- Frax still bribing and making a killing, will get ~50% of veCRV
- $1.64 of value per $1 on bribes -> protocols are leaving money on the table

UPDATE: Anchor $stETH is now down to 106k, most of the outflow is presumably sold on Curve. The stETH discount has now increased to 5%. Good opportunity to buy yield-bearing ETH at a discount if you're willing to wait for $ETH 2.
Keep in mind, the discount can still grow!!

If that is withdrawn at some point once the Terra chain is re-started, it could put some additional pressure on the stETH peg.
That's about 50% of the remaining $ETH liquidity on the Curve pool.

For those interested, the current 2% discount on stETH represents an opportunity to buy and earn > 6 months staking yield (currently 3.6%), which can subsequently be redeemed 1-1 for ETH once withdrawals are enabled.

I understand that they should have talked with CZ who was trying to help but… you can’t just burn the extra LUNA. That would literally be evaporating it from people’s wallets. And you can’t just magically save the UST peg because you said so lol

5. I am very disappointed with how this UST/LUNA incident was handled (or not handled) by the Terra team. We requested their team to restore the network, burn the extra minted LUNA, and recover the UST peg. So far, we have not gotten any positive response, or much response at all

@AnonymHodler That was the theory yes, but the big, flawed assumption is that Luna will always be worth something.
It won't be worth anything very soon so no way to redeem UST anymore then which will mean it will go to 0 too.

@0xGrecko do you think ust will repeg? as far as I understood, with 1 ust they can burn it and get 1 dollar worth of luna which they then immediately sell. However, with market cap of Luna being below UST, will this work out? maybe ust is at 0.6 because of these arbitrageurs or am I wrong

1/ The prevailing peg pressure on $UST from its current supply overhang is rendering severe dilution of $LUNA.
The primary obstacle is expelling the bad debt from UST circulation at a clip fast enough for the system to restore the health of on-chain spreads.

I know it might seem insane to buy LUNA right now, but think about it.
It’s already down 99%. It can only drop another 1%.
But if it reclaims ATH you’re up 100x.
Risking 1% for a potential 100x? That’s called an asymmetric opportunity.
