The Center of Excellence for Community is a floor in @EthereumTowers that will feature Thought Leaders within the Web3 space. These are people who have been identified as innovators, mentors, community builders, developers, security experts, and so much more. Each Thought Leader will have an Apartment on the 95th floor of Tower #1 which can be used for such things as educational events, AMAs, collaborative learning sessions, meeting rooms, and support platforms.

T'was the night before Christmas, in Ethereum Towers, Not a creature was coding, not even the miners. The meme coins were hung by the blockchain with care, In hopes that Satoshi soon would be there. The devs were all nestled, all snug in their beds, While visions of forks danced in their heads; And mama in her moon boots, and I in my cap, Had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap, When out on the ledger there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, Tore open the shutters and threw up the hash. The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow Gave the luster of midday to objects below, When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny miners, With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick. More rapid than transactions his coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name; "Now, Bitcoin! now, Dogecoin! now, Litecoin and Ripple!On, Cardano! on, Solana! on, Ethereum and Tether! To the top of the blockchain! to the top of the wall! Now hash away! hash away! hash away all!" As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky, So up to the rooftop the coursers they flew, With the sleigh full of tokens, and St. Nicholas too. And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof The mining and hashing of each little goof. As I drew in my head, and was turning around, Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound. He was dressed all in silk, from his head to his foot, And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot; A bundle of tokens he had flung on his back, And he looked like a trader just opening his pack. His eyes—how they twinkled! his dimples how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry! His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow; The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath; He had a broad face and a little round belly, That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly. He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself; A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread; He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, Filled all the wallets, then turned with a jerk, And laying his finger aside of his nose, And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose; He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew like the down of a thistle. I am extremely bullish on metaverse games in web3, it’s starting to get wild!

the #1 thing that @solana has right now over @ethereum is people with money who are willing to deploy in a risk forward way at the edge and thereby push forward innovation. this is how innovation happens — but it's often messy in a way that can turn folks off (eg it's "just speculation"). but the lack of this means less capital bandwidth for ideas and experiments to both get funding and to break through into virality via price. memes and the innovation downstream of them are a prime example of this. if @ethereum wants to succeed, this needs to change — and we are seeing signs of it on @base, but it's still early and we need a lot more help. so let this be a call to action: if you are someone who believes in Ethereum, holds significant amounts of ETH, and wants the economy to grow, now is the time to step up. I'm doing this every day with everything I have, and folks like @meowphasaurus have been leading from the front as well, but we need more people with the same mindset. if this is you, please DM or shoot me an email at jesse@base.org. will be coming up with a plan in the new year. 🙏🏼
