After hours of watching videos I've found endless different ways to set up.
Some things I'll stick to for max security:
- Gotta set up a VPS ~$10/month (server uptime guarantees, not run on your local network)
- Must set up private VPN to access Openclaw (no one else can publicly reach it except whitelisted IPs).
- Use a private SSH to access remotely.
- Create new accounts for the Openclaw, only share what you want it to see (prevent prompt injections ie. malicious prompts)

Ok I'll bite, time to set up Openclaw with zero prior technical knowledge. Will share progress, stay tuned.

people misunderstand what "reply guy" actually means
how I see it:
you're in a cafe at a social table
someone across from you is discussing something with their friend
you happen to be an expert on that exact topic
you add a valuable comment to their conversation
congratulations, you just networked
that's it
valuable comments = building connections
now imagine this:
same cafe, someone's talking
you interrupt and say "banger"
they'll think you're insane and ignore you
so why do people waste time on CT doing the digital equivalent?
dropping "gm" or "this" or fire emojis under every post
that's not networking
that's noise
add value or don't comment
simple as that

“reply guy” strategy is as old as social media itself. it works because it leans into a key pillar of social media: being social. (shocking, i know). but being social & networking has always been the best way to put yourself out there and grow as a project/individual, so use it.

@The__Solstice being here already puts you on the sideline
no real solution to that
just pick which sideline you want to watch from

@blue_clarity better to talk about one thing you know well 100 times
than talk once about 100 different topics

some news
i have left my role doing socials for @gacha_game_
it's been nearly 2 years working with an amazing team and building consumer apps onchain, but it was time for a change
proud of what we achieved in such a short time: millions in revenue, millions of impressions, an amazing community. grateful to Tania and Chase for being brilliant founders
i haven't yet decided on my next move but i'm keeping my eyes open for the right challenge for me. 2026 is going to be amazing
if you know anyone who wants to change the world hit me up

you need viral moments
but viral with YOUR audience, not random people
one viral post that hits your niche > ten viral posts that attract everyone
also, not every post needs to push forward
some can just maintain connection with the audience you already built
prefer to say you need virality but not always and not for every post
English

everyone needs to remember why we're actually here
the goal isn't proving yourself to the timeline
it's two things:
1. find real friendsnot followers, not networking contacts people you actually connect with
2. build your careerskills, opportunities, reputation things that compound beyond likes
that's it
the trap is making content for validation instead of value
when you start optimizing for engagement over authenticity, you've already lost
posting should serve YOUR goals
not the algorithm's appetite
here's the proof:
ask any big account on CT how they grew
they'll tell you they just said what they actually think
not what the algorithm wanted to hear
they ignored the optimization advice and built around genuine perspective
that's why following the algorithm isn't necessary
say what you think, not what performs
