I just went in to see my $LINK Build rewards, so here's some commentary on that. They thought this out pretty well from a distribution standpoint that protect these projects from getting rekt off a large unlock. The loyalty bonus for not claiming early until your full allo is unlocked is a good idea. Basically any early full claimers end up forfeiting about 80% of their rewards which then goes to the loyalty pool. So if you stick it out, you'll end up getting a bonus bump for those that claimed early. They made the early claim steep enough that I'm not considering it. So mission accomplished on their end there. Because of this and how gated staking is to begin with though, there is very limited value add to holding $LINK for this aspect. So the Build rewards are kind of a nothingburger unless one of them goes absolutely parabolic. It's cool you get some exposure to these up and coming projects but because of the heavy dilution due to the sheer number of stakers getting these, idk man. Doesn't add up to much. I really wished they would have figured out how to turn this into $LINK and just boosted our staking rewards. Overall it just feels over engineered with minimal impact. Tbf though, this helps up and coming projects get off the ground which I do like quite a bit. Entry level DeFi is not even Chainlink's core value prop or customer target at this point so it's just one of those things that Chainlink does to push the space forward. Overall, I feel neutral about it. In the early days of the announcement, I expected it to have a much greater impact but it's just not designed for that. The $LINK tokenomics still need quite a boost if we want the token to take on a life of its own.
