I’ve come to accept that HIP-3 was never intended to be permissionless (and neither was HIP-1 most probably)
cash mounted the most promising assualt on xyz’s hegemony imo, but in retrospect, even with the full backing of tether and 200k USDT per week, there was no hope for cash
wouldn’t surprise me to see hyena wind down soon, officially killing non-USDC quote assets
and then paragon winding down, all but killing the permissionlessness of HIP-3
HIP-3 is permissionless, but I can’t help but feel that all the DEXs aside from xyz were setup to fail
a market can be both free and anti-competitive simultaneously
undoubtedly, xyz has the most capital and the highest level of execution, I’m not saying they don’t deserve what they’ve achieved
but a monopoly of this scale is unnatural imo
we’d all agree that hyperliquid has the most capital and the most competent team of all perp DEXs, but hyperliquid does not have the same level of monopoly over perps as xyz has over HIP-3
@Markets_xyz’s USDC redeployment and @Perpsdotfun are the only things standing in the way of total xyz domination
I think it’s pretty self evident to anyone with eyes that unit/xyz is a proxy/extension of the hl team and if the “builder deployed” part of “builder deployed perpetuals” was really a charade all along, then @0xOmnia must be a very annoying problem, as required.

时隔半年，再来聊聊极度内卷的公链赛道。 结论放在前面：通用链已经趋于饱和，再跑出现象级的竞品不现实，新链的机会只存在于应用链(App-specific Chain)。 通用链的以太坊/ BNB/ Solana/ Tron/ Base 占据了近80% 的市场份额，这一轮诞生的新兴通用链对它们构不成任何威胁，是一个能打的都没有。 RaaS/ CaaS 的普及，让特定应用链也同样内卷，但能在激烈竞争中跑成细分赛道龙头的应用链，最终也能在极度内卷的公链赛道中占据一席之地。 比如新兴公链中专注于perp 的Hyperliquid, 专注于稳定币的Plasma; 老牌公链中专注于跨链/ 链抽象（Near Intents）的Near, 专注于支付的Polygon 等。这些老牌公链已经意识到问题的严重性，不在生态的多样性上内卷，转而深耕更细分的赛道。明面上的通用链，实际上就是拼命往应用链上靠。 而数以百计的其他公链们，最终都将在1-2轮周期中逐渐退出加密历史舞台。 对于新公链，大胆做空通用链，理性做多特定应用链，或许能少走很多弯路。

I spent the past few days in Washington with @hyperliquidpc meeting with policymakers during the historic advancement of the Clarity Act. We discussed Hyperliquid, the benefits that it offers to American consumers, and the regulatory path to bring onchain derivatives markets into the United States.
Some conversations were technical with an impressive baseline understanding of Hyperliquid. Discussions included how onchain trading is a financial innovation that has clear global user demand. Other conversations focused more on a first principles introduction to defi and the promise of onchain markets. It was encouraging to see bipartisan support for thoughtful regulation of crypto. I look forward to continuing discussions in DC and working hard to make American access to Hyperliquid a reality.

There was an issue related to the subscription for @AnthropicAI Claude Pro model.
Claude, which has been a formidable rival to @OpenAI Codex, was clearly leading the coding sector just a month ago.
However, lately there have been quite a few voices saying that Codex has pulled slightly ahead.
Anthropic’s trading volume in the IPO pre-market has surged dramatically.

The CEO of Binance ( @cz_binance ) just said something most people in crypto don't want to hear.
The industry is "too transparent," and it's actually a huge problem.
Institutions/whales don't want transparency - they want to benefit from blockchain's efficiency, whilst having the same privacy-preserving elements that traditional rails offer.
Whoever properly solves this will be a big winner.

Mình để ý dạo này có khá nhiều người share repo everything-claude-code trên các group AI với caption kiểu “repo này hay vãi” hay “lưu về nghiên cứu sau”, nhưng khi hỏi lại thì hầu hết đều chưa thực sự chạm tay vào được gì.
Mình cũng từng như vậy, star xong để đó, nhìn vào thấy ngợp rồi tắt tab luôn. Vấn đề không phải là bạn không đủ giỏi mà là 👇

After today's unfavourable $50M swap on our interface, there's a lot of confusion around slippage I'd like to clarify:
Slippage is the tolerance buffer on a market order: how much the final fill price can deviate from the quoted price due to market movement between signing and execution. On the Aave interface, suggested slippage is algorithmically calculated from asset pair volatility and order size.
Since we offer both market orders (with adjustable slippage) and limit orders, our slippage and fee estimates are tuned for execution time. Users can always tighten it (or set limit amounts) and will typically get a surplus back thanks to @CoWSwap's auction mechanism.
In this case, the user sent a market order with the suggested 1.21% slippage. But the core issue wasn't slippage, it was just the accepted quote with 99% price impact:
As you can confirm it yourself on the CoW explorer, the order includes a quote field showing the original rate (50M USDT -> <140 AAVE) presented to the user before fees and slippage. It was already a very bad rate.
All the interactions were also verified via internal analytics, and the user even received a 0.7% surplus, confirming the swap mechanics worked exactly as intended. Thanks to our open-source nature, anyone can reproduce this.
So, the price impact warning was displayed. The checkbox was checked, sadly.
While we're working on stronger guardrails for all our users, we'll always believe in permissionless DeFi.

Earlier today, a user attempted to buy AAVE using $50M USDT through the Aave interface. Given the unusually large size of the single order, the Aave interface, like most trading interfaces, warned the user about extraordinary slippage and required confirmation via a checkbox. The user confirmed the warning on their mobile device and proceeded with the swap, accepting the high slippage, which ultimately resulted in receiving only 324 AAVE in return. The transaction could not be moved forward without the user explicitly accepting the risk through the confirmation checkbox. The CoW Swap routers functioned as intended, and the integration followed standard industry practices. However, while the user was able to proceed with the swap, the final outcome was clearly far from optimal. Events like this do occur in DeFi, but the scale of this transaction was significantly larger than what is typically seen in the space. We sympathize with the user and will try to make a contact with the user and we will return $600K in fees collected from the transaction. The key takeaway is that while DeFi should remain open and permissionless, allowing users to perform transactions freely, there are additional guardrails the industry can build to better protect users. Our team will be investigating ways to improve these safeguards going forward.
