some people in crypto are saying that Pokemon cards are "the next NFTs"... but they're not
"Pokemon is the #1 IP in the entire world, and cards are completely different than NFTs. they're trading cards, they've been out for 30 years, and we all grew up with them. people buy Pokemon cards because of the art, rarity, and collectibility of our favorite IP. NFTs were simply speculating on other people creating a household IP, which only 2 or 3 brands were able to do build a brand that even slightly broke out of crypto"
