Excited to share our latest research. At @union_build, we’re committed to pushing the boundaries of interop and blockchain infrastructure. That’s why the Union R&D team has been exploring approaches to enable Crosschain Governance. In short: • Union made the strategic decision to distribute its token as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum while using Cosmos SDK governance on its chain. • Crosschain Governance is enabled by making each staked position non-fungible and uniquely tracked by the contract. This means users can participate in Cosmos governance without leaving Ethereum's ecosystem. • The system maintains full security through proper unbonding periods and 1:1 token backing. • Our Crosschain Governance protocol is designed with multichain expansion in mind. Union tokens can be bridged to any EVM-compatible chain while retaining governance rights. Other Cosmos chains could adopt this model, positioning @union_build as foundational infrastructure for crosschain governance across the broader Cosmos ecosystem.

One of the biggest doomer blackpills of my life. I met someone the other day who put together a group of three Australian families and together they bought a literal French castle as a timeshare holiday home. And the literal FRENCH CASTLE costs less than the median house price in Brisbane. Every single shitbox house in my suburban street 45 minutes drive from the city costs more than a literal FRENCH CASTLE. I don’t think young Australians have internalised this fact yet. For example, this random French castle I found online sells for about $1.4 million AUD. Meanwhile literal collapsing shitboxes in Bankstown Sydney sell for $2 million AUD. People will reply: “Just build more houses!” We have the second highest house construction rate in the developed world yet it’s STILL NOT ENOUGH. If you’re a young Australian, please don’t tie yourself down to 30 years of mortgage slavery for a literal shitbox when you could buy a FRENCH CASTLE for less.

This protocol has some massive implications for crypto: No you don't need privacy features built into the L1. Ethereum, Solana, L2s, Hyperliquid, whatever you want, can be made fully private. All connected chains contribute to the privacy of the protocol. Normally privacy protocols have poor UX because users need to wait for days due to a small anonymity set. We combine all transfers across all chains to create the largest set possible. Neobank chains like Plasma, Stables, Noble and others can provide a bank-like confidential experience for users, while allowing bridge transfers amongst themselves. Exchanges can support private onramps from any chain.
