Now that XVS is live, it’s important to clarify how users can use it. In simple terms, XVS unlocks yield-bearing collateral for users. @extendedapp users can now deposit funds into the vault and use the same capital as yield-bearing collateral for their trading activity. When a user deposits into the vault, they receive the corresponding number of XVS shares into a sub-account. Currently, XVS shares earn base vault yield, contribute 75% of their value to account equity, and contribute 25% of their value to balance available for trading. Simple example: - User has $1,000 on the account: equity $1,000 and available balance $1,000. - User deposits into the vault and receives $1,000 of XVS: equity $750 and available balance $250. - User opens a $1,000 BTC long with 4× leverage: equity stays $750 and available balance becomes $0 ($250 - $1000/4). - If unrealised PnL becomes +$100: equity = $850 and available balance = $100. As long as equity is above maintenance margin requirements, the user is healthy. If equity falls below maintenance margin requirements, liquidation starts from XVS: the vault withdraws the deposit back to the user. Because XVS contribution < 100%, many liquidations stop here as users receive USDC from liquidating XVS. Over the next weeks we will: 1. Gradually increase XVS contribution to both equity and available balance to 90%. 2. Launch XVS Extra Yield on top of the base yield. Extra Yield will depend on user activity. The higher your rank in the Trading League of our points program, the higher your APR. Note: if you use XVS as collateral, it can be affected by trading losses and liquidation. If you want your vault deposit to stay independent of trading, please keep XVS in a separate sub-account. @0x_mehere @aztecnetwork I don’t know if there’s any real benefit. As far as I know, those who are running nodes are doing it mainly for learning purposes. It’s better not to run the node with any airdrop expectations, since the Aztec team has repeatedly stated that they won’t be doing any airdrops.

The latest update of the @aztecnetwork validator node feels quite complex for a non-technical person like me 😬 After a lot of effort, I finally managed to deploy my node successfully! In the previous dashboard everything showed a 100% success rate and I’m hoping for similar performance this time too. 😀

expectations from @aztecnetwork pre-sale? well, as of this month, most probably we’ll be seeing something really demanded, and i guess it’s time we finally witness it - definitely not tge, but pre-sale. i covered most topics in my previous post, but i’m here to discuss expectations or what could go down in the aztec presale as of now. as we know, aztec plans not to do an airdrop - but how do they plan to distribute tokens to the community? well, obviously pre-sale. everyone won’t be able to participate, but for those who can, here are some things we can expect. recently, we got the megaeth presale, and i consider it one of the most demanding ones. many of my known companies participated, receiving at least minimum allocation with different perks based on how they were involved in the ecosystem. the kyc made this a pretty difficult participation for many (including me), as i’m 20 and don’t have some details to provide as per ethos requirements. still, i’ll consider megaeth handled it well, and people were satisfied in the end. i also liked how fast they were regarding refunds if people didn’t get allocation or were under-subscribed. i consider aztec to maybe follow in the footsteps of megaeth - i think the team liked how megaeth handled their campaign and probably liked the ecosystem too. further, there are other methods to do a presale - like launchpads, ico, or maybe through nfts or sbts (though i consider this method unlikely). i also think aztec plans to provide perks to people involved in the ecosystem for the longer term - top node runners (first priority), discord role holders, maybe top voices for aztec, team, etc. all these are basic speculations on how this could be a really big turnout in web3. well, as of now - there is no airdrop, i love you.
